My name is Chris Carroll, I am a US Marine Corp Veteran, and obtained my BA in History from North Carolina Wesleyan College in 1991. I have loved history since the age of 10, doing genealogy with my father researching our NC Civil War ancestors. I have been a collector of Civil War Identified Artifacts for many years, as it's never the artifact but the story (History) behind the historical item that brings it back to life... I have now branched off into WW1 with the upcoming centennial, I have found it equally fascinating as the Civil War. It is my quest to help preserve our past to help record our forefathers, so they are never forgotten..........|
(Members of my family include: 9th President William Henry Harrison, 23rd President Benjamin Harrison, Governor Benjamin Harrison V, Signer Declaration, and General Douglas MacArthur.)
Married into family:
1st President George Washington, 3rd President Thomas Jefferson, General Robert Edward Lee, 1st Constitutional Governor of NC Richard Caswell, and 1st & 3rd President Continental Congress Peyton Randolph)

Sent you the Cemetery.
|Eliza Baker||Stocks Family Cemetery|
Chris, my name is Eliza, and I have been searching for my husband's grandparents and great grandparents burial site. His grandmother was Pattie Stocks Baker, and his great grandparents were Elias Stocks and Harriet Stocks. In searching on ancestry.com, I found that they grew up in the "Olds" Greene county area. We have been to 2 other Stocks family cemeteries in Pitt county, but as of yet have not found any members that he knows of in those cemeteries. My husband's dad is 84 and remembers going to the cemetery of his mother when he was younger but is not sure where exactly it was located. His mother died when he was 4 years old and he was in Korea fighting in the Korean War when his grandmother died and was buried. Could you tell me where the Stocks Family graveyard is located that you posted on this site. The names don't look familiar to me, but we would like to take my husband's dad by there to see if he recognizes anything. Thanks, Eliza

Oramel Morse is a great granduncle of mine. I am curious where you got the information about his body not being recovered? I've been looking for a number of years and never turned anything up.

The Change you requested has been made.
I'll be glad to do a little more poking around for you. I have genealogybank.com and find a lot of interesting things. I spend many hours combing through old papers to do it.
Would you please send me the memorial number? I look at hundreds of obits per week and quickly forget-remember the name but not enough to look it up.
