I am a former Marine and a Viet Nam Vet. I spent about 18 months in Nam.|
I can only speak for myself and the photos that I have taken. I am giving my express permission for you to use my photos in any way you see fit in your family research.
I do not selfishly hoard my pictures under the pretense of a 'copyright'. WHO in their right mind refuses to share OPENLY the photo of someone elses family grave stone?
That being said....At this time I try to save all my original, large format pictures on jump drives, by cemetery and surname. And upon request, for the family members of a memorial, I will gladly email my originals of them as attachments once I have posted them on F.A.G..
They should reproduce better then the reduced size 'jpg' pictures you would be copying and pasting from the F.A.G. site. So if you plan to copy and paste them or copy and print them for your personal ancestry site, photo albums or for other family members, feel free to email and ask me to send you my originals.
I also will gladly transfer memorials upon request.
I will try to never forget that am a volunteer out here, doing work for you, the absent family member.
PLEASE, I realize you do not ALWAYS know who may be buried in the same lot, but whether you do or do not, and you wish pictures of multiple grave markers, please take the time to put in multiple requests OR MAKE A BUBBLE NOTE requesting that we notify you if we find more family members around the requested site, instead of a 'bubble' asking to shoot any grave markers with the same surname around the ONE you requested.
After all we are out here taking extra time for you, the least you could do is take a few seconds more to click on the "Request a photo" box and create more requests for the volunteers helping you.

Thanks so much for all your help, Larry. I really appreciate all the time you devoted to locating the DeMarsh gravesites. I didn't realize the graves of my 2nd great grandfather and 3rd great grandparents were unmarked. So very sad...I wish with all my heart that I could provide headstones. Hopefully, circumstances will change in the future, and I'll be able to do just that.
Also, thanks for the information on the cemetery records. I believe their records are correct, and the spelling is actually DeMarsh. My mistake was trusting the spelling on census records, which have the name spelled Demarsh. We all know, though, just how accurate spelling can be on census records. ;)

I cannot thank you enough for all you have done for me and family this week. You've been so generous with your time to go out of your way to photograph and document my family. I'm especially grateful with your efforts regarding my father. Mission accomplished. I know he is smiling somewhere.

Hello Larry ~
Thank so much for the photos of Kittson, with the extra work to label the others in the plot. I was pretty stunned that you went to that much trouble!
Blessings for serving our country and for helping out at Find A Grave.
Thank you so much for the photos of the Lear family graves. Your work is appreciated.
