Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a resident of Mt. Pleasant, NC and I have been photographing cemeteries in Cabarrus Co. almost exclusively for about 10+ years. When I photograph a cemetery I try and get the whole cemetery. If you would like a few photos for your research which do not have a watermark... just ask me and I'll email them to you.

Thank you so much for transferring the 3 Stirewalts to me.

Rosa Foil
Terry, You added a headstone to the memorial for Rosa Foil #136398266. I found out the other day that I created a duplicate memorial for Rosa. I don't want to delete my memorial until you have a chance to add your headstone photo to the other memorial. Would you mind transferring your photo to memorial #126873288? Thank you for all you do at Find A Grave.

Bingo Terry!
Thanks Terry, only one small thing. Palmer Eugene was just one person. His first and middle name was Palmer Eugene. Everyone just called him Gene. Tanks! We Whittingtons tend to be pretentious haha.

Re:James Grady Whittington
Oops, I meant Essie was one the daughters of William John McCraven and Mary McCraven Rodden.

The "Gordon" referral was a mix up with one of her daughter's marriages. Blended family confusing
name changes... argh.

RE: James Grady Whittington
Thanks Terry!,

Essie McCraven Whittington Jenkins Miller was the wife of Archelus G. Whittington (aka Archie Ellis/Archie Elias). The name "Archie E." came about due to illiteracy, phonetics and transcription errors. A Romanesque type of name probably didn't fly real well in 19th/20th century Cabarrus county. So, Arch became Archie G. then to just Archie E. dropping the G. The "E" evolved by descendants trying to attribute the "E" to something so people started adding word of mouth "Ellis and Elias" myths to fill it in. Arch G. became Archie G then Archie E by just extending out the "E" of Archie. The wackiness of word-of-mouth in a nutshell.

Archelus G. Whittington was of the sons of James Franklin Whittington and Samantha (aka Winnie/Mattie) Thomas Whittington.

Also, Essie was one the daughters of William John McCraven and Mary Gordon McCraven Rodden.

As soon as I get my small army of ancestors sorted and filled in I'll probably start requesting transfers. In the interim, please continue the fine work! I'm in no hurry, this may take years to refine correctly.

Regards.
