I live in the Wairarapa, New Zealand with my husband & 2x children. I have enjoyed helping people find lost & missing family members over the past few years. Feel free to leave me a message if you have extra information for someone.|
I am trying to add all local entries, but I also enter the deaths from the local paper, so I can connect them with any family at these cemeteries. (I do not keep copies of the obituary). For those entries which I have just the year of death date I have estimated the persons birth date, if you know the correct DOB date let me know and I will insure the correct information is entered. I am not related to 99.9% of my entries.
Many people like being able to see family members headstones as they don't live near but others may not, If you want a family member removed feel free to let me know. I am happy to do this.
I don't need to be abused for this to happen.
If I have made an error I'm also happy to change this.

Ahipanepane Urupa> Te Ore Ore, Masterton

You are a legend...
|Lillian Hall||Mary Annie Hosegood Diamond|
I noticed that you have put Mary Annie Hosegood Diamond's name to a grave in Masterton. Mary Annie Hosegood was born at Timswood, Somerset in 1864 - she died 10/6/1947 in Inglewood, Taranaki and she is buried in the Inglewood cemetery. Her husband Bernard is also buried there with her. It must be a different Bernard and Mary but definitely not Mary Hosegood. Can you please. Correct that record. Thank you. Lillian Hall.

Hi Jo Jo,
I have just received the following and wondered if you could sort this out for the lady...
The above baby who was four months old, is down as in the same plot as James and Fanny Elizabeth Kirton Ralph when in fact he is in with his grandparents James and Eliza Ralph. He was the son of Stephen and Nellie Ralph. Could you change it please. It is confusing I know.
Also another query which I am unable to solve as forgotten how to find the area for siblings and just going around in circles. I would like to link up OLIVE PRETORIA RALPH STAINS, my nana, whose ashes are buried in Masterton cemetery, with CLARENCE EDWARD RALPH, her sibling, who is buried in Waimangaroa Cemetery, Westport. Your help on this would be so much appreciated please.

Many thanks for the information that you have posted on my ancestors, the Bray's. I visited the cemetery's myself last week and it was very helpful to have the information that you provided.
Interestingly I couldn't the grave of Frances Henrieta Palmer, that you have listed at Hastwell. Is the plot not named? Her year of birth is 1860 and year of death 1944.

Could you please delete this child from the record of Fanny Elizabeth Kirton Ralph and James Ralph. He was the child of Stephen and Nellie Ralph who are both buried in Masterton. Thanks Jo Jo.

Hi Jo Jo,
I have just solved a puzzle I had over Jeremiah Savage' birth date so have edited the info you have for his record for you to review but thought I should give you the background. Jeremiah's birth certificate has his birth date as 5 April 1873. However, church records have his birth as 1 March 1873 and his baptism on 2 March 1873. Parents were subject to a fine if the birth of a child was not registered within 21 days. Often, particularly in rural area s (the Savages were from rural Ballymacelligott) this was ignored and on registration the date of birth was altered to avoid the fine. Church records tend to be more reliable according to the rootsireland.ie website. Apologies if you already know that - just wanted to give you my justification for the change.
Thank you for all your hard work
