RE: Walter Southern #53983662
Hi VC - Thanks for visiting Walter Southern. Actually, I am just a relative by marriage. My husband is Harold Southern and his father was Walter Southern and I believe his grandfather was Samuel Southern, so I guess you are related to my husband. He goes by the name of Wayne Southern which was his middle name. Wayne grew up in Shelbyville, IL until about the age of 9 and then moved up to Waukegan, IL. Wayne had six brothers and sisters, four of which are still living. We live in Wisconsin now. Where are you living at the present time? It is nice to find long lost relatives, isn't it? I think Walter was born in Assumption, IL if I remember correctly and I think he had a 1/2 brother.

RE: C. F. Upchurch
VC, thank you so much for your photo and your inquiry. C.F. Upchurch is CHARLES F. Upchurch CURTIS Upchurch's middle initial is "L". I have yet to find where Curtis is buried so when I saw a memorial for him which showed him being buried at Steelville I requested a photograph hoping that would prove him to be there. So far though, you and Kristyn have found C.F., who again, is Charles. I hope I'm making sense. I need to find out how to get in touch with the cemetery recordkeeper to see if Curtis is actually there somewhere. Thanks again for the photo; even though it's a duplicate the close-up image helps with reading it.

Isgrigg - Harmon Cemetery
Thank you so very much for all of your time and hard work taking all of these wonderful photos of my Isgrigg ancestors. I appreciate that you looked for the other three that have sadly disappeared or disintegrated over the years. I am grateful for the photo of the cemetery too. It looks very peaceful and beautiful. Thank you for your kindness.
