I Am Not sure where Ketterman Cemetery is but one death record puts them in Durgon here is where towns at:

Durgon, West Virginia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia,_West_Virginia
Durgon is an unincorporated community in Hardy County, West Virginia, USA. Durgon is located on US 220/WV 28/WV 55 at its junction with County Route

Daniel Ketterman
The death date for Daniel Ketterman III who married Barbara Alt. All records say he died 1885, yet the rock that serves as a grave stone says 1865 & that he was 64 years old. What is your opinion? Daniel is in my line. I just joined the SAR, Sons of American Revolution under his father.

I was just wondering if you are related to Rosetta Harper Ketterman. She was my grandmothers sister. She married Sedge Ketterman.

Ketterman Exodus to Illinois
Hi Richard,

My greatx3 grandfather Nicholas Ketterman was born in Pendleton, WV 1839 and then lived most of his life in Champaign County, Illinois where he then died. His father and mother, Jacob Ketterman (b. 1795) died in Pendleton, WV. Jacob's father was George Ketterman (b. 1767) also born and died in "German Valley" Pendleton, WV. I see that you are a Ketterman, and might be able to help me find Jacob and George, and tell me why so many Ketterman's left the area in the mid 1800's or so to go to Illinois, and then Kansas after that? Do you have any stories about the Ketterman's?
