Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing family history for many years and have accumulated a lot of information. I am happy to share with anyone and offer help if I am able.
I live in Taranaki New Zealand but travel a lot around our beautiful country.

I am interested in hearing from anyone who has/or can help with information on any of my research names.

If you have information that you would like on one of the memorials please feel free to add information thru the "Edit", you can also add any photo's you would like to share and if you have an headstone photo please add it to the Memorial. Our family will appreciate it.

Everyone deserves to be remembered and if you have anyone you would like to include (even if they are not related to us) I am happy to add and research the information.

RE: Louden
No problem. They all have a great view there. I have never experienced such a steep cemetery. Kids had to pick me up once. Trudy.

RE: your here
Hey Cousin,

Been fossicking, if you need any stalking done I have St James, St Pauls, Waimairi, Belfast, Avon Lawn within a few minutes. For you I am willing to stretch to Ruru, and Woolston. I am also looking for an excuse to go back to Addington, Sydenham, Yaldhurst and Darfield. Love a good cemetery. Am thinking of doing a few of the local rural ones in summer, let me know of any you fancy.

Robert Lowden
You will have noticed I have added the photo for Robert Lowden.
As you will have noticed it is badly damaged and the name is mostly unreadable. It is only because I knew what name I was looking for that I could match it. I hope I actually have the right gravestone.
I'm not sure if you are aware but I believe the council has said they will not be fixing any of the gravestones that were damaged in the earthquakes as they belong to the families and not the council. So if you know any of the descendants you may want to let them know it is damaged.

Mary Ann Preston - transcription
Hi Julie, I have added photos for Mary Ann Preston, but the headstone is quite unreadable. So the transcription reads "In loving memory of Martha beloved mother of Leonard Thomas Lloydd, died 30 April 1914, aged 41 years. Also Mary Ann Preston who died 8th Dec 1897, aged 65 years". Regards, Gillian.

Annie Bailey suggested corrections
Hi Julie, I have transferred Annie Bailey over to you and then you can edit her information as you wish. She is no relation of mine at all, just one of the Purewa burials I have entered on find a grave. Regards, Gillian.

Protestant Lawn C at Waikumete Cemetery is being upgraded and this area is cordoned off. I will go back when they have finished the work.

RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 132519586
Not really, I've deleted my memorial. Thanks for the heads up.
The connection is so vague that my genealogy program couldn't even figure it out. Phil married Dorothy Jessie Betterton whose parents were Edward John Stanton and Charlotte Elizabeth Dorothy (Morton) Betterton. Dorothy's great uncle Frank Morton married my great aunt.

I don't have their marriage date nor her birth date yet, as the timeline at the New Zealand archives isn't up.

Are you related to either of them?

Hugh Booker
Hello Julie - Hugh Booker has been cremated at the Kelvin Grove Crematorium but is not buried as an ash burial at the Kelvin Grove Cemetery, he was most likely collected by family. I have added a photo. Regards

Hi again Julie,
yes, I added the link because there is so much info there for this family but there is no info on the page on whose site it is, who did all the hard work etc so I could not reference you

Could you add something to the page to indicate it is your work?
