|TracyJames50||William ROE - St James Churchyard|
I visited the church office and was given a map and the location of William Roe's plot and was told it may or may not be there as many years ago quite a few headstones were laid flat and grassed over. Unfortunatelyy William Roe's was one of them so the photo I've posted is the general area where it should be.

he died 27 May 1946: you have put up some wrong info on his entry: (1) Mabel died 28 August 1943 acc to death notice, not 1946, (2) Percy remarried Gertrude Shortland, according to HIS death notice AND obituary.

in the place where they say Zillah is, is people with the last name of Berridge so I'm not sure that even the grave placing is correct sorry!

Again, you're welcome.
Could I just mention one thing about your plot references for Wakapuaka memorials. I'm not sure where you are getting the references from, but if it is the Nelson Cemeteries website, you will notice that there is a denominational prefix. e.g. CE, RC, BP etc. It's important to include this with the block/plot number because Wakapuaka is denominational. Block and plot numbers are repeated and their location can only be determined by knowing the relevant denomination. E.g. a person can be buried in CE09027 and someone else could be in BP09027. Both refer to Block 09 and plot 027 but one is in the Church of England (Anglican) section and the other in the Baptist section. I have often encountered people wandering aimlessly around the cemetery mystified because they have 'found' the plot they are looking for only to discover they are in the wrong denominational section of the cemetery! :-)
Of course, it also means I can find the plot without having to refer to the council records.

You're welcome. I sent an edit through for Ian and another for Stanley that you might like to add to the memorials...

Hi Kevin. It's sad when there is no headstone, especially for a child. I have a relative the same at Norsewood. Come the new year I will be looking into having a simple white cross erected with his name and birth/death dates. Perhaps you could do the same for your relative.

Very welcome, just a fluke that I come across these things. From my own genealogy research I sometimes add things twice simply because the system may take a while to update, and I think that it hasn't been added.

You have posted a request for a photo of the tombstone for Wlater Bodington # 147453326 in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, London,ON.
I don't believe that there is a tombstone to photograph for 2 reasons
On the Canada GenWeb Project site, all of Mt. Pleasant Cemetery has been photographed and put on line. He does not appear there.
Also on the Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid site, which is an index to all the stones recorded by the local genealogical society in the 1980's, he does not appear there either.
Not to say that he is not buried there, just that there is no tombstone to photograph.
In light of that, you may wish to remove your request for a tombstone photo.
