Here I am. Doing what I love doing. Cleaning lichen from the headstones in the cemetery, so the inscriptions can be read.|
2011 I started a Family Tree...What a wonderful thing to go backwards in time and find relations I never knew and will never know!! I found quite a few of my ancestors by researching cemetery data bases online. Some info but no photos of headstones, hence the reason for me listing on Find A Grave.
Maybe after I have gone, my descendants will know my past...
I hope the information I have entered on Find A Grave will help others to locate their ancestors.
If it does, I would welcome an email from you...
And, if I have made any errors, let me know and I will correct them a.s.a.p. XX

Thank you for uploading the information about my great-grandparents' gravestone. I've been doing some amateur genealogy work recently, and this is the first time I've found images online relating to my great-grandmother. Keep up your awesome work!!

|Lynnette Brown||Thank you.|
Thank you so much for putting a photo up on hear of my grandfather John Henry Brown but was know to everybody as Jack... you helped me and brother find out more bout his war days... so thank you again...
I had also suggested updates through the Edit's link at each of several Gibson names in the Papakura Cem. These are all from either documentation or from the only living daughter of Alexander Gibson, who has been doing the family longer than I have,and that is saying something. Of course I have checked all that she found or knew for myself.
There is about 5 of us in NZ doing the same Chalmers family and pooling our info.

Thanks. I will check in a minute, busy chasing up another of the Gibsons, and guess where I just found him buried - Papakua Cemetery, Lol.

Thanks Glennis. I will check shortly after watching the Rerun of 'Roots'.
I am still running through this part of the family checking all that I can before finalizing it, and starting on my own part of the same Chalmers family. I have all the data, but........! it takes forever to make sure you have it all, and tidied up ready to hand on to the next generation.

I didn't unfortunately, but will put it on my list of plaques to look for next weekend. Do you need any more from the Hastings Cemetery? I love a challenge!
