The Promise
Robert Sexton

"Across the years I will walk with you-
in deep green forests; on shores of sand;
and when our time on earth is through,
in Heaven, too, you will have my hand."

Those We Love Don't Go Away,
They Walk Beside Us Every Day,
Unseen, Unheard, But Always Near,
Still Loved, Still Missed And Very Dear.

They continue to live in our hearts, in our memories, in Heaven.

Native American Prayer
Author: Unknown

I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still in each new dawn.

I am a child of God,
And he has sent me here,
Has given me an earthly home
With parents kind and dear.

I am a child of God,
And so my needs are great;
Help me to understand his words
Before it grows to late.

I am a child of God.
Rich blessings are in store;
If I but learn to do his will
I'll live with him once more.

Lead me, guide me, walk beside me,
Help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do
To live with him someday.

Old folks are worth a fortune:
With silver in their hair, gold in their teeth, stones in their kidneys, lead in their feet and gas in their stomachs.

I have become a lot more social with the passing of the years; some might even call me a frivolous old gal. I'm seeing five gentlemen every day.

As soon as I wake, Will Power helps me get out of bed. Then I go see John. Then Charley Horse comes along, and when he is here, he takes a lot of my time and attention. When he leaves, Arthur Ritis shows up and stays the rest of the day. (He doesn't like to stay in one place very long, so he takes me from joint to joint.) After such a busy day, I'm really tired and glad to go to bed - with Ben Gay. What a life!

P.S. The preacher came to call the other day. He said that at my age, I should be thinking about the hereafter. I told him I do - all the time. No matter where I am - in the parlor, upstairs in the kitchen or down in the basement - I ask myself, "Now, what am I here after?"

In the "FindAGrave World" the usual procedure would be for you to delete your memorial - made 3 years after mine, and then I can transfer mine+picture to you.
Please let me know when you have deleted yours, so I can do that.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Larry Winard one time, but he made a lasting impression on me. I was very sad to learn that he had passed away and wanted to honor his memory.

Sincerely, Gail KM

Thank you SO MUCH for your photos, JC!! & for the extra amount of research you did into my Granny Hazel's grave. I feel very sad about that one...I kind of fell out of touch for a few years & next thing I knew she was dead & I haven't been able to find out exactly what happened to her! I fear she was probably cremated. I know they were VERY poor & probably couldn't afford a casket. :-( But I greatly appreciate you getting some of the other family!! :D

Wow! These photos are so nice. I really appreciate the close up of Frank's headstone. It would be hard to read without it. It was nice of you to take the additional photo of the family graves together. So kind of you to take the extra effort and time to do this for me.

Thanks so much,

Once again I'd like to thank you for taking the photos of my family member's graves. I was given a photo taken by someone else years ago and it's so blurry you can hardly read it. This one is so much better. Thank you so much!
