When my soul is restless
And things seem out of line,
I visit an old graveyard
To take a mystical step back in time.
I find the oldest tombstones
Then read the messages there;
I consider what their days had been
And how our lives in ways compare.
We all have lived though heartaches
As well as episodes of fun;
Surviving loss of loved ones,
And rewarded for a job well done.
Sometimes if I'm very still
I can hear what they have to say
And feel them reaching out to me
Grateful for my momentary stay.

Funeral services were conducted at Union Methodist church at 11 o'clock Sunday morning. The Rev. J. C. Swaim officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Floyd Potts, John Farmer, Pink Gregory, Sam Sellers, George Farmer, and Ray Sanders.
Mr. Ledford, who was born in Macon County, was the son of the late Jesse and Marina Ledford. He was the last of a family of 22 children. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. In January 1880, he married Miss Sarah Ann Ledford of Georgia. Surviving are his widow, and three sons: J.W., Ransom, and Zimmery Fox Ledford."

|Duchess of Brookhaven||Amos Plott 76984595|
Hi, I just sent a request to have Amos Plott's birth county updated. His parents did not move to Haywood County from Cabarrus County until after 1805, as his dad-Henry Plott served on Cabarrus County jury in 1805. Per Census he was born about 1800; ergo, he would have had to have been born in Cabarrus County. Please update that Amos Plott was born in Cabarrus County, NC. Thank you! Cynthia Plott-Duke Duchess of Brookhaven (#48020275)

So you took this photo at Old Brown Cemetery? I know graves were moved just trying to figure out where this marker once stood. Robie

I hope you don't think I have lost my mind but somehow I have two enteries for Mary Julie Ann Phillips. One entry(80294394)you transferred to me and one I made (#84518519).
Now where my mind is lost is why I did it. I must have gotten and email or something but can't find it.
Can you tell me for sure where the marker for her truly is at Old Brown Cemetery or Roundhill? I'm guessing Old Brown because you made initial entry but I needed to get this straight for sure.
Thanking you for your help in advance.
