I am generally not related to the people honored in the memorials I create. I focus mostly on photographic preservation of local history and sadly have no genealogical connections where I live. I am happy to transfer records to your safe keeping upon request.
I grant permission to use my photos for personal, non-commercial use. If you'd like to use them in a project, please contact me. It is not my intention to have these volunteered hours end up contributing to a service that will then charge for access to the information.

The photo you posted to memorial 122055293 actually goes to memorial 24437845. The date of death has a 5, not a 3.

This image posted to Cemetery site, by you 18 May 2012, is classic proof that every picture tells a story. Incredible in it's ability to speak of the past without saying a word.
I visited this cemetery ca1990 & you've perfectly captured the beauty, history, etc of the location. Thank you so much for sharing photograph on Find A Grave site.

Bedides the VA Locator, if you need to look for a grave that you are pretty sure is in Arlington, you can try the ANC Explorer, which tells you not only the grave site and directions but displays details with a photo. The Naval Academy web site usna, edu has a burial site index under the Cemetery and columbarium menu, but the Chapel has not kept it up recently. I was told that they are settingup a kiosk for actual visitors; it is not clear whetheror not they will add future intermentsan inurnments to the web site, but I have told them the good reasons for doing so, to help the sort of inquiries that are madeby those creatin Find A Grave memorials, which seem to be what the Chapel office expects to satisfy the need. To try the index, which is good for burials up to about a year ago,go tousna.edu>cemetery>burial index, and for Find A Grave search try the name at United States>MD> Anne Arundel County and look for the name united Statates Naval Academy. IT IS TECJNICALLY A national cemetery butbit is not under VA administration andvthere is another Annapolis National Cemetery in town that was founded during the Civil War as was ANC.

Thanks a lot. That takes care of a lot of loose threads.

The VA Nationwide Burial Site Locator is only for those in National cemeteries and those in other cemeteries with "GI" stones and markers. When I first discovered it it only assured information for those since 1997. It is indeed free and a big help.

Sorry, I was finally given the (correct0 cemetery this morning, and was opening the memorial to add it when I discovered the one you created and I distracted myself about the apparent duplicate. As I said, I do not care about 'numbers" as long as the memorial is in the virtual cemetery with good information and photos so classmates can "visit it virtually. I get far more credit than I deserve for the very few clicks that it takes to add a memorial to the virtual cemetery. Posting the Lucky Bag photo does take a little effort to get the scan, but it keeps my brain stimulated. If you want, copy the photo. I was about to offer to post it but I accidentally lost the folder with those on my drives. Even so, I can copy it back and post it again if that is helpful.

That is the cemetery that I was told by the Alumni Association obits editor. I will get the info from the memorial that you created and fix the one I did.I am not at all concerned which name is "Credited" or "blamed for the memorials as long as I add them to the virtual cemetery for classmates to see, which they appreciate. Thanks.

Duplicates # 96718910 that I created in 2012. I do ot care whether or not you delete this one that you created, but woul appreciate it ifyou would post your phot of his grave to the one I created. He was commissioned at graduation. .but is listed as "Mr" in the Alumni Lookup. I am searching back issues of the Alumni magazine Shipmate for his obituary. I maintain the class of 1953 virtual cemetery and add or create memorials as classmates are reported deceased.

Thank you Erin for taking the time and effort in remembering my family. I have not seen these graves before, so it is very special what you have done for me. Grateful and kind regards, Frederic Wallace
