Bio and Links
My primary interest is in the family groups I have listed in virtual cemeteries. If you are related to these families, centered in south central Minnesota, I am interested in hearing from you. I do add other cemetery information and take photos as I have the opportunity.

Please use the Edit tab & 'Suggest any other correction or addition' for transfers. Links are supplied, and the request isn't shuffled off to the spam bucket.

RE: Gahlhoff of ND
Sorry. Not related. I'm just going through the memorials I added to the cemeteries in this area and linking relatives, adding flowers to the memorials, etc. Everyone should have a flower. :)

RE: Thanks for links ...
Sorbo's from Mound are indeed the same family as the Sorbo's from Silver Lake, et. al.

Thank you for your reply! Unfortunately I have no idea if there's a marker for Baby Schmidt. I live in the PNW and am hoping to someday make it out there to "visit" my ancestors.

Thank you so very, very much for posting the beautiful picture of his headstone. He was my 3rd Great Grandfather - I'd like to ask for your permission to use your picture on our family tree (naturally you'll receive the credit). Thank you again!

RE: Betty Lou (Porter) Sommers
There was a question on Family Feud the other night.
Name a state that gets lots of snow.
They answered New York. The whole time I'm thinking Minnesota.
The #1 answer was Michigan.
I couldn't believe it!
I've lived in Michigan (as a kid). Then snow was fun!

RE: Betty Lou (Porter) Sommers
The link I was using obviously has incorrect information. I will delete the David Miller information after you have a chance to see how I came about thinking she was married twice. I dug further and realized she was still having children with Raymond at the time it shows she was married to David. My Grandmother's maiden name is Porter and I have a book that was printed before she died of the family genealogy. Unfortunately it doesn't always give the correct birth dates and where they were born on some people.
I'm not sure who originally connected David Miller to this Betty Lou Porter, but I will continue to try to find a match. Sorry for the inconvenience and mistaken identity a second time around.
I apologize.
Sincerely,
Rosemary Millar

Thank you so much for making the time to photograph the beautiful stone of Helena Bock Manthey. Composition for both images is well presented, providing a lovely tribute to the final chapter of her life.
