My 2xgreat grandmother was Catherine (Eskew) Williams, according to my great grandmother's death certificate. She was Lettie Frances "Fannie" (Williams) Roby. The Eskew connection is a recent discovery - I had been looking for Catherine Eskew's parents/relatives for a while. Thank you!

John McElroy, one of my g-g grandfathers died in 1845, leaving behind 2 young children, but according of his Letters of Administration issued in Allegheney County, there is no mention of his wife. One of the children , Matthew S McElroy, grew up with a family named Gwinn. Matthew's Death Certificate lists his mother as Mary Jane Shearer, but I have never been able to find ANY information about her, or indeed, about John McElroy. Because you have added a Mary J Gwinn who died in 1840, I am curious. Could there be a connection to my Mary Jane? Thanks for your time.

Thank you for transferring Walter and Martha Kern to me.

Sorry, but I am not clear on this. Do you mean they divorced then remarried? Or was Leland married to someone else in between? Assuming that Robert is not Leland's child. I am not trying to be nosy, but try to have things correct in my genealogy. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I do not understand the Ribley Deffenbaugh name for his mother. Was Ribley her maiden name or was she previously married?

Hello Mr. Gwin,
I appreciate all the work that you have done with the FindAGRave site. I do a bit of genealogy, mainly on my Mother's side of my family. Ernest Nelson Gay was her uncle and my great-uncle.
I'd appreciate it if you would transfer management of his page to me. The picture that is posted is one that I have. It has gotten circulated via Ancestry but I have the original of that particular photo.
The page is: Find A Grave Memorial# 55674363
|Barbara Anne (Brownell) Potter||Elizabeth Phelps Alden # 35732172|
Elizabeth Phelps Alden should be Elizabeth Gwinn Alden daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Gillam) Gwinn.
John married (1) Elizabeth Gwinn about 1687 in Prob. Boston, Suffolk, MA, US. Elizabeth was born on 16 Oct 1668 in Boston, Suffolk, MA, US. She died on 26 Nov 1719 in Boston, Suffolk, MA, US.
I am sure there just was a mistake in entering the maiden name as the birth and death dates seem correct.
If you could please make this correction I would be appreciated.
Thank you, Barbara
