Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Loves Park, Illinois. Was raised on a farm outside of Durand, Illinois. My Mom and I used to go to a country cemetery by our house and look at the dates on the headstones. I have always enjoyed looking at the names and dates of the older stones. Enjoy doing this very much, although I am new to this. Feel free to ask me to take pictures for you.

Thanks for the photos of the Hacker site.

I sent this along to the Memorial owner for an update.

Lt. Hacker was killed in a training accident on October 1 1943 11 miles east of Pratt Army Air Field in Pratt, KS.

He was part of the 40th Bomb Group that was organizing there in order to take the B-29 Superfortress into combat. He was training in a B-26 (serial 41-35308) when the accident occurred.

RE: Ester Molander bio
You have spelled my Grandmother's first name wrong. It is Esther, not Ester....

Regarding the date of marriage, it is correctly stated in the bio. April 14, 1921. I have the marriage certificate showing that as the correct date. We are aware of the error shown on the monument and that is why I did not attach a photo of the grave stone.
For some reason, an unrelated person who does not even live in our area had added the "request for photo". Apparently she thinks that the actual surviving family members should give up all rights to something they created once it is on a public viewing device.
I know that you are not the person who submitted the "request for photo". The person who did that
also raised the question about the marriage dates four or five months ago. At that time I e-mailed her a copy of the actual marriage certificate but apparently that was not quite good enough for her because she has once again raised the same question that you did.

RE: Durand
Don't know anything about Arlington, do most of my work at Sunset , Scandinavian and Calvary. Sunset is easy to find a grave the other 2 are harder but I do find them if they have a marker. Can meet you there, let me know when and where. Doug

RE: Ester Molander bio
The correct date is the one I put in the bio.
The date on the marker is wrong.
Esther and Edwin Molander are my grandparents,
I was pall bearer at each ones funeral.
I have a copy of their wedding certificate showing the date of marriage as April 14, 1921.
Which is what it says in the bil. And that is why we did not want to add a photo of the grave marker.

The mistaken date on the grave marker was not noticed until long after the monument company placed the stone on the grave, and we were not able to have them correct it.

You mentioned in your bio you walked around a country cemetery in Durand. Would that cemetery be the Irish Grove. My wife has several relatives there. Doug
