While searching the WWW for information on my ancestors I found wonderful photographs posted on "Find A Grave" of a number of my relative's gravestones that I had never seen. |
I thought that it was a good idea to register and volunteer to photograph gravestones in my area.
Some of the photos that I have contributed so far were taken while snow was in the graveyard. It is possible to have snow on the ground up here seven months of the year. I hope that the snow is not upsetting to the relatives. Please let me know if it is.

Hiagain Tom -
Found another instance of a Find A Grave duplicate between you and another Find A Grave contributor - again where though yours is the latter record, yours is much more complete. As with the other duplicate Find A Grave records encountered with this same Find A Grave contributor, preference would be to retain your record over theirs due your record's completeness. The duplicate is Find A Grave 3 52492172 and I am contacting you via Find A Grave message as, like one of the other duplicates, there is a gravestone photo on it worth adding to your record before the other is deleted as the photo is not quite as sun-light washed out as yours is (I'd keep both photos). Please reconcile with the other Find A Grave contributor on these duplicates.

Hi Tom -
There is a duplicate Find A Grave record for your Polly Dunn record. The duplicate is Find A Grave # 52492175. You and the creator of that record should reconcile as to the record to be retained. Personally, I prefer your record as it is much more complete. If your record is kept, my request is to also post the gravestone photo on the other Find A Grave record on your record before it is deleted. Your photo is somewhat shaded where the other is not.

Bob, you have given me some great info, her daughter was Helen Cordelia Ripley, buried in Harmony Cemetery. Helen's bro. was Charles Dickerson, my grandmother's grandfather. My Grandmother was Helen Brown Wales, married to Leon Wales, Herman's brother. I have more info on Hulda. but have to hit the hay, thank you, Larry Wales

Is there a list of burials for Hillington some where? Looking for a Royal and Hulda Potter. Died in Morris around 1890's Hulda was my ggggrandmother. Royal was her third husband, a farmer and both are on 1880 census for Morris. Her maiden name was Pendell. She was the Dau. of Benjamin and Tabitha Pendell, Regards Larry

Yes, It really was a great day. I was enjoying some time with my daughter and family near Palmyra. First time away since last Dec. Praying for an easy winter. Nice to hear from you. Donna
