More Metcalfe's at Kirby Hill
I hope you are doing well, I wanted to alert you that I have just added a new Metcalfe family at Kirby Hill. Thomas and his wife Mary and their son Bartholomew they lived at Dalton Field in the late 1800's. I would be willing to transfer them to you if they are your kin. I see that you updated my latest corrections. Sincerely Kenneth Fawcett

Metcalff's at Kirby Hill Yorkshire
Hi back in 2006 you visited St. Peter and St. Felix Church at Kirkby Ravensworth North Yorkshire England and you then created memorials for five members of the Metcalff family. I was at the cemetery last month, and found another Metcalff whos gravemarker was covered in Ivy. I have created a memorial for Mary Emily Metcalff wife of Thomas Metcalff of Thorpe. Mary died in Oct 1899 (this ia at least a generation older that Metcalff's you had memorialized) I am not sure if you have a connection to the Metcalffs but if you, I wanted to alert you of my find. I am not related, but I made the trip from the United States inpart because of a memorial that you created #16932875 for John Fawcett my 5GG Grandfather I was hoping to find his wife Mary Jackson Fawcett who died soon after her (but no luck). During my trip I also went and visited Colloden Scotland where you had recorded that he had been wounded in battle, I may have some more information for you to add to his bio but I am still working on that. Thanks for his memorial and I hope was of some help to you if my Metcalff is of your family. Kenneth Fawcett.

Mary in Topcliffe
I think transfering her to you so you can edit to your hearts content might be the easiest. I visited the cemetery between a wedding and reception so was in a bit of a time crunch!

If you could take some pictures of just the inside of the church it would be appreciated. Not for posting, just for my enjoyment. This is the ancestral church of my family.
My memorials came from family members who visited the church and from a book published in the 1920 which listed some of the burials inside the church.

RE: Fenny Drayton
Thanks,
If you go to the church page and type in Purefoy, they are all inside the church. Look at some of the pictures I've posted! They are fascinating.

St. Michael's - Fenny Drayton
Thank you for the photographs of the church and the additions from the cemetery. I will be going through them to see how I might be related.
If you ever make it back, some pictures of the burials from inside the church would be appreciated. The photos which I submitted were taken by cousins who visited in the 1990's. There are several burials within the church of which they did not take pictures. If you could ever get them it would be appreciated.
I had planned to make it to England just to get photos of the church for this web site. Guess I can still come and just see for myself!
Purefoy is the English spelling of my name and these are my ancestors.
