Is the Colson stone supposed to be on the Lindell Trout site? #73008919
|Joy Mangrum||RE: Elijah Adams Cemetery|
Did you get my email regarding the cemetery for Elijah Adams?
|stilmn2||Alto Pass Cemetery|
I saw where you were inquiring about the location of the Alto Pass Cemetery back in April. Did you get a response? If not, the cemetery is located on Illinois Rt 127. It is just north of Alto Pass on the West side of 127. As you come out of town going north, you will pass the Alto Pass Vineyard, continue north and the cemetery is on your left. Hope this helps, if not, email me and I'll further assist. Take care!

Well, I'm not sure where I'm going, lol, but here we are. :) I sent you some newspaper clippings and obits by email last night, as requested. I just happened to notice when working on that section that there were two Patricks--the father was not entered already, but the son was. When I added the father and went to link him to his wife, I noticed you had entered the son Patrick with his mother's last married name, so I thought I would let you know he already had a memorial (made by Bev, who is deceased). Like I said before, it would be very easy to do it the way you did since the son Patrick doesn't have his last name on his marker (there's just the large Brennan family name marker) and to top that off, there's two different Patrick Brennans buried in that plot. Alice is buried between her two husbands Patrick and Walter, with her son Patrick just on the other side of them. Anyway....hope you got the email and could read the attached articles, and hope this info helps you out.

You are so welcome...let me know if you have anymore requests...I'm only about 5 miles from that cemetery.

Hi Mark, the Holland Cemetery is on HWY 581 near Union Grove Church Road. If you are coming from 301 HWY to Goldsboro on 581, you will reach Union Grove Church/Crossroads, go maybe a 1/4 mile further and the Holland Cemetery is to your left back in a field. Good path to it and easily accessible. Keep on that same HWY and the Elisha Holland Cemetery is on the left in a field but not as easy to get to. There are duplicates because someone tried to put them all in the same location as you noticed. I am a Holland also and live in this area, please contact me if you need further assistance or have interesting info on the Hollands. I tend to group people where they are actually buried and am not so concerned with duplicate memorials as I am accurate info.

I have found some documents in Wake Co Register of Deeds that indicate the Hunter Family Cemetery was moved in 2010. I will email you what I have found. I did not, however, see the names of the people you are looking for, though there are two "unknown child" references.

Mark, there is an old Hunter Farm in Apex near Friendship Rd. and I am told there is a family cemetery somewhere near it. I am pretty sure the farm is in Apex and not Holly Springs, though the 2 cities are close. Any chance the cemetery is in Apex? I'll be glad to ride over and look around if so.
