Bio

Born and (for the most part) raised in Boone County, West Virginia. My West Virginia families are Hunters, Brownings and I'm finding most everyone else in Boone County (we are all related); and through marriages the Green, Harless and Kimbler families. South Carolina families are Cope, Quick, Sweatt, Jacobs, etc.

I prefer hunting for and documenting the hard-to-find, older family graveyards in the mountains and try to avoid the larger, "drive up" cemeteries. I visit (or hike to) the cemeteries, photograph, research and attempt to link almost every memorial I post. This avoids memorials being posted in the wrong cemeteries.

I prefer you send links or corrections through the edit tool or to my message board, because I am sometimes neglectful in checking my email.

It is important for every post to be as accurate as possible so please don't hesitate to let me know if you have a correction or link. And I will transfer any memorial to a family member if you request, as long as they are not my relatives. I'm not big on 'rules' so if you want a relative's memorial that is beyond FAG's guidelines, just ask and I'll transfer it.

Likewise, any information or photos I provide are free for any use by any person. It is not necessary to ask or give me credit. I'm not a professional photographer or genealogist, and the whole point of this site is to share, right?

And finally, be NICE. You have the right to question any of my memorials, request changes or links, but you do not have the right to be rude. My response to rude people will be no response at all.
