I am retired from the United States Air Force after 30 years service, active and reserve. I like old prop driven airplanes especially the ones that still fly. The B-29 I am standing in front of is currently the only B-29 in flying condition. It was restored by the "Combative Air Force" in Midland Texas. This picture was taken in Duluth MN.|
I am available to take photo requests with in 20 miles of my residence, however some may be difficult to get in the winter months because of snow depth and cold weather. There are about 10 cemeteries in this area I can get to pretty easy until the snow comes.I have done some geneology research on my imediate family and found walking around cemeteries kinda interesting. Many of the cemeteries in this area, which is very rural, do not have full time sextants and locating a grave may be very time consuming sometimes.
I have submited spread sheets for several cemeteries in this area to "Find a Grave" and the Itasca County Historical Society. Any one who wishes a memorial transferred, Other than my family, just ask.

|Linda Severson-Shurtleff||RE: Lydia Cottrell|
Let me redo this. I thought because Lydia (Huntley) and Willima had a daughter name Lillian, it was the Lilli Liepold, but maybe not. I have a birth-date for Lillian Pearl Cottrell as 8 Sep 1889, where Lilli Liepold's is 1880. (should have check my records-sorry). I do have that Lillian Pearl married Alvin Liepold., but I don't have any other information of Lillian or Alvin. Is this getting confusing?:)
|Linda Severson-Shurtleff||RE: Lydia Cottrell|
Lilli (Lillian Pearl Cottrell) is Lydia's daughter. Here's what I think happened. Lydia passed away when she and William (NMI, that I know of) lived near Lillian. When Lydia died, he moved to Mankato, where several family members lived. When he died, they had him buried there, rather then send his body back to Sago. I don't know if I can add much more information then you have. In fact, you gave me information on Lilli that I didn't have, so again, thank you. I would love to have a photo of Lydia's gravesite though, if it's not too inconvenient. Do you have an obituary on Lilli by an chance? That would just about complete William's family for me. By the way, Lydia's maiden name is Huntley, if you would like to add that to the website. If I can help you with any other information, please do contact me.

Hi Mert, Thank you for your faithful service to our country. My husband retired from the Marine Corps in 1995.
I see you posted Lydia's gravesite in Sago Cemetery. I have lots of information on her husband, except where he is buried. I have some on her too. Is there a chance he is buried with her in an unmarked grave? her husband's name is William Cottrell, born in 1866 in Iowa and died in 1943 in Mankato. He is my gr. gr. uncle. It took a long time to find his death date, mainly because of his common name. Any information you can find would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

Thank you putting the photo of Mathias' stone on the site. I have just found out that Petro Nelson Rosholt was my grandfather's aunt. You have done a special service for me.

While cleaning out my email files, I noticed yahoo had been sending my Find-a-Grave messages to my junk mail file, so I'm not sure if I have already sent you a message. I just wanted to make sure you knew how thankful I am for your time and effort at going to the cemetery to photograph the headstone of my cousin Bob Campbell. You are an angel on earth, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Sincerely, Finn Kin Gal
I see that Harold Mohr did not have a memorial. I added it to Find A Grave, will you include his headstone photo. #117 490 403
He is the son of Herman and Florence (please add her headstone also).
thanks for the informtion on the Mohr. I will look this over and see if I can add any connections. It is such a help when other family members are also documented at the cemetery plot. Many times new information and connections are found.
If you can will you email me. The photos in my email.
I love Volunteers!
Thanks so much for finding the head stone.
I will pass the favor along.
|Gone But Not Forgotten||Raymond McAllister|
Find A Grave Memorial# 60717428
Hi, will you please do me a favor. You posted a picture for Raymond McAllister on memorial # 60717428 as well as for his father # 60717429. The picture for his father is correct, but the picture for the child Raymond McAllister 60717428 is not correct. He died as an infant and was never in the military. Will you please remove the picture from the child on memorial # 60717428? That way maybe I can get a picture (If there is one).
Thank you for all your help, I appreciate you entering the memorials.

Thank you for taking the time to search and photograph my great aunt's marker. I hope I can repay you in the same manner someday. Thanks again!
