I am retired from the United States Air Force after 30 years service, active and reserve. I like old prop driven airplanes especially the ones that still fly. The B-29 I am standing in front of is currently the only B-29 in flying condition. It was restored by the "Commemorative Air Force" in Midland Texas. This picture was taken in Duluth MN. I am looking forward to the completion of the restoration of "DOC" another B-29 at McConnell A.F.B in Wichita KA. They expect to test fly it in mid 2016. |
I have done some geneology research on my imediate family and found walking around cemeteries kinda interesting. Many of the cemeteries in this area, which is very rural, do not have full time sextants and locating a grave may be very time consuming sometimes.
I have submited spread sheets for several cemeteries in this area to "Find a Grave" and the Itasca County Historical Society. Any one who wishes a memorial transferred, Other than my family, just ask.

Yes, my 4th great-grandparents are Johann Friederich Rima & Maria Bekker, I come through their daughter, Catherine Rima who married David Wilder (my 3rd great-grandparents). Catherine & Solomon were siblings, so this make us "cousins!" By the way, your father, Arthur was a most handsome man, so glad you posted his photo & obit on Find A Grave.
Good to meet you,

Thank you so much Mert.
|Sherry Hess||John & Carol Warner|
Thank you so much for fulfilling my request for the Warner's, may I also with your permission share your photo's in my family tree giving you credit for the photo's.
Thank you again,
I am a Carroll family member. Sarah Fitch Austin's mother was Gertrude "Getty" Carroll, and I am descended from Getty's brother John Carroll. I have a strong DNA match with Getty's descendants so that makes it doubly interesting. If you're interested in the Carrolls, let me know. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving, Suzanne

That would be wonderful if you would post a photo.
Thank you for your volunteer work.
|Lisa Moschkau||Alma Marie Anderson Death Date|
I am researching an Alma Anderson for my tree and I see that the Alma you have in Find A Grave # 60717190 has a death date of Aug. 12, 1946. I don't see a grave maker photo and was wondering how that date was decided. I see 2 Alma Andersons who died in Itasca County within about a year of each other.
Date of Death: 11 NOV 1947
