Catherine Felder
Thank you so much for your response regarding Catherine Felders listing as a consort. I had no idea that wives were called consorts.

Catherine Felder
On the inscription for Catherine Felder it states "consort" of M M Felder. Catherine Felder & M M Felder (2nd cousins) were married on December 31, 1863 in Washington Co., Texas by John Davidson, as elder of the Methodist Church. I will post a copy of the marriage license as soon as my new software is installed. I am curious if it actually says this on her tombstone?

Thank you,
cindy donahue

Independence Cemetery
At the Independence Cemetery in Washington County, are there volunteers or someone who regularly take care of the grounds, and check on turned over markers or damaged ones? I noticed the grave marker picture taken for Matilda Freeman Haynes (memorial # 44585683) in 2010 was leaning quite a lot. Perhaps vandals or maybe weather related? Another picture of her marker taken in 2006 is standing straight.

I don't live in Texas and have never visited that Cemetery, but have several ancestors buried there.

Weiss Cemetery
Could you please tell me where the Weiss Family Cemetery is located? I drove around the Salem area this weekend and was unable to spot it.

My 4X great-grandmother is buried there and I'd like to photograph the headstone.

Mary Jane (Meroney) Taylor
Roberts Cemetery #2
My name is Mary Jane Taylor and I work with F A G in Belton, TX. I started this work by photographing a smaller cemetery in 2008 for the TX Genweb Project.

Also a few years ago I located the Roberts #2 cemetery on Old Navasota Rd. which was terribly overgrown covering some of the graves. Of the ones I could read I was certain that these were the Roberts ancestors of my mother who was from South-East Al.

I did not locate the owner of the land, so after returning to our home in Belton I asked my husband to return to the cemetery with me to help clear the area around the stones enough to read and photograph them. I am the contributor of those photos on F A G.

I would like to take my daughter, age 50+ to visit the cemetery for her birthday in April. I have recently been contacted by a lady who gave told me she and her husband were the new owners of the property but I have misplaced her message to me. Who should I ask for permission to visit the cemetery again?

Hope to hear from someone soon.

Grave of Rebecca Watson
I wish to thank WCGS for locating the grave of Rebecca Watson who was not previously listed on the roster of the Prarie Lea Cemetery. Also, is there an obituary published in the Banner Press regarding her death?

Thanks for your help.

Hal M Lockridge edits
Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your injury and hope you're doing better. The edits for Hal Lockridge (Lochridge) did not appear to go through. If they are no longer on the "edits" on your profile page please let me know and I'll re-submit them. I notice you added some info to the bio. I also submitted edits for links to his parents and birth and death info. Thanks for all your hard work. Robin
