Here I am. Doing what I love doing. Cleaning lichen from the headstones in the cemetery, so the inscriptions can be read.|
2011 I started a Family Tree...What a wonderful thing to go backwards in time and find relations I never knew and will never know!! I found quite a few of my ancestors by researching cemetery data bases online. Some info but no photos of headstones, hence the reason for me listing on Find A Grave.
Maybe after I have gone, my descendants will know my past...
I hope the information I have entered on Find A Grave will help others to locate their ancestors.
If it does, I would welcome an email from you...
And, if I have made any errors, let me know and I will correct them a.s.a.p. XX

Your welcome, I took over three hundred photos at Glenfield yesterday and I'm not even a third of the way through them. It may take a while but you may want to cancel your request for Shirley (?) as it seems there is no headstone for her.:(.

Pleased to hear from you.Edward was a twin and was born on Aug 16 1879 in Ravensbourne near Dunedin. He was 48 years old when he died. A bit hard to get that figure from the stone.Strangely enough his wife died in 1932 after being knocked down by a 'motor vehicle' in Wellington. Both his parents were born in Norway and came to NZ in early adulthood. Edward is my father's uncle.

Well done on finding that grave. Three of us searched the graveyard 18 months ago and couldn't find it, so am really delighted to see it here. What a great job - motivational. Edward was 45 and killed by a 'fall of earth ' on a construction site in the nearby Mangamohu Valley.

I was hoping if next time you were at ohakune cemetery if you would be able to see if there is an ian thomas hemara there? I'm trying to link him to his parents but can't find his grave.. he possibly died in 2012.
Thanks so much

|Daisy✿||Cant find area for photo. Paul ORREN|
Glennise - Hi, Re Paul ORREN buried in the Kelvin Grove Cemetery, Palmerston North. There is not enough burial information given for me to locate the area. No CREM Blk 2 in the cemetery: Other options: CREM BERMS. U-2a or U-1a or Q-3a or M-2a. If you find more information or the direction to Paul ORREN's plot I will return to the cemetery and photo at another visit. Thanks
