Jolley Book information
In the Find A Grave record for Robert Daniel Jolley # 42223335 it references a book “The Jolley Family” by Mrs Robert S Jolley. I cannot know if you added that info or if the originator of the memorial did so.
Studying the Jolley family of Lincoln, Mercer, and Boyle Counties Kentucky that this family came from, I believe my GGrandmother was related to the Jolley’s or Blackstone’s. Henry Jolley 1829-1852 was almost certainly the son of John Jolley (1778 VA - ~1855 KY) and Nancy Kittie Blackstone (~1800 - ~1845) as certainly was also Sterling Coulter Jolley (1824-1897). Henry lived with my GGrandmother Malinda ? in 1850 Boyle Co KY. In that case she had no property for Henry to Farm or work on so it is likely she was related to him. I have invested extremely large amounts of time searching for Malinda’s Family of Origin. I don’t know her maiden name. She married first a Mr Gordon and had 2 children. Then she married Micajah Goode and had 6 more children. No record of either marriage exists, but several lawsuits prove that both occurred.
Does the Jolly family book have any references to the Jolley or Blackstone families in Kentucky? I cannot prove which Blackstone family Maria Ann Blackston/Blackstone came from, although I think I know.
I would greatly appreciate some way to check if Jolley family stories or legend have information on these early Jolley and Blackstone families. Thanks in advance.
