I am a descendant of Fidelius & Cecilia (Gulde) Fischer. Cecilia came to Georgetown with her children in 1881 and settled there. Also my grandfather Aloysius P. Kukowski purchased a farm at Georgetown in 1923. The families joined when my parents, William and Marjorie (Fischer) Kukowski, were married in 1950. My husband's family also were early settlers in Georgetown. His grandfather, Joseph Kolosky, purchased a farm in 1904 along the Red River. Larry and I both have many roots in this area. We have been researching our family trees for over 25 years. We have collected many photos and lots of information that we would be willing to share.

Do you get to Wild Rose cemetery often? You posted a picture of my 2nd gg grandfather. I am down in the cities so I don't ever get up that way but I was hoping for a better picture of the poem/prayer that is on his gravestone. Might you be able to help?

RE: Anna Pehler
In the 1899 city directory, it has that Maximillian, Paul J and Vincent moved to Royalston, Minnesota

Good luck, let me know if I can be of some help. You might get a kick out of searching for the family in Minneapolis city directories:

I'm afraid I can't be of much help. I just tried to do a little more searching and the only new info is that Michelina and Paulina seem to be the same person. Checking the Mpls city directories, there was also a Vincent that seems to be related. I don't know if it would help you to call the cemetery office to see who owned the plot if that would help?
