I am comparably new to genealogy (2001) but have become a "junkie" very quickly. I live in the Seattle area where my family has lived for over 6 generations. |
I am researching: Smith, Ristine, Kipp, Ingersoll, Cunningham, Bishop, Bean, Moose, Platt and Golnick, as well as many other branches of these names. I have been blessed to have connected to many members of my family, who have been working on genealogy much longer than I have, and have been so generous to share their hard work with me, which has given me a great base to build upon.
I have been working with my Aunt Sharon ("sharon") since 2005, adding our shared genealogy to findagrave from my husbands side of the family, and have connected with so many generous volunteers all over the United States who have located and photographed family headstones for us. We both try to return the favor when ever we are asked to, and are so grateful to findagrave for this service, which has added so much to our research. We never would have been able to accomplish so much without findagrave, and the generous volunteers that are members.
Most of my entries are relatives. If you are too, I would love to hear from you and compare notes. Please include "findagrave" in subject line with any correspondance.

That's what I would have done, too. I have three memorials, myself, that are the same way and I have yet to find them. The cemetery currently has about 22,000 burials with many more being added every day so it's pretty big. If I don't find them in the cemetery locator, I'll add them to my list of "MIA" so I can keep an eye out for them.
|Dee Green||Melva Cross Photo Request|
I checked the VA Nationwide Gravesite locator (http://gravelocator.cem.va.gov/) and it doesn't show Melva or her husband, Arthur, interred/inurned at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. There is a terminal to look up grave site locations at the cemetery office that I will also check in hopes I find them listed there. Keep your fingers crossed!

Thank you for the information. I have added to his memorial. Appreciate it :)

I haven't received any edits or additions on them; I have already entered all of the available data on William (full dates, locations, parent links, etc), but haven't found much on Emma yet. I am happy to add anything that you have, though. Do you know her maiden name?
|Chris Coleman||Catherine Westfall Foster|
Can you remove the link for Catherine Westfall Foster 39367307, to Thomas J Westfall 77839584, he is not her father. They born six years apart, so I don't think they are father and daughter.

You are most welcome---and how was Paris?
