Unknown we are to each other...through time our paths have crossed...so as we visit one to another...know as family you shall never be lost.
I consider Cemeteries to be outdoor museums.
I am proud to be referred to as "The Family Historian."
THE CEMETERY PHOTOGRAPHER
Wandering among the stones I see
The stones so weathered and worn
‘Tis difficult to find the date
On which the babe was born
I stare at the stone and am struck with awe
At the life that I knew was gone
This was someone's child, a babe so sweet
With loved ones to carry on
So I take a photo for all to see
For the family that remains
An everlasting memory of
A child of God's domain
I brush the weeds back from the stone
And say a silent prayer
For the babes that had no chance to live
And for mothers everywhere
The dove calls out it's mourning song
Among the stones so still
Echoes of the woes, through time
The choirs of despair
The stone will someday perish
The flowers will be gone
But a photo now remains of this
Their memory lives on!
And so my friend, don't hesitate
To film the weathered stone
Those who live within your hearts
Are never truly gone.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7

|Patricia Powell||My mother's uncle|
Good Morning, my mother has been searching for her uncle's gravesite for over four years now. She has found everyone of her father's side of the family except him. His name is Lawrence G. Patterson. His wife's name was Eunice Patterson and we have located her obituary. L.G's parents were George and Ollie Patterson. L.G was born in 1906 and died in 1968 and although his wife was buried in Topeka, Kansas, we cannot find his grave there or anywhere else we have searched. Could you please help us?

Thanks so much for the Birthday wish & I'm hoping my day will be full of pleasant surprises, such as this.
|rosie mcnaughton||So sorry...|
about the loss of Maggie. It sounds like she just floated off to the bridge without suffering so that's a blessing. Condolences to her owners.

Please leave his memorial - that's why I sent you the information. I just figure if a family member requests a transfer, they only have to ask one contributor. :-)
I'm surprised his wife wasn't buried at the VA cemetery when she passed in 2014. Thanks for checking on her.

Here's the link to the obit (sorry, I guess I forgot to include it in the SAC):

I did have another thought after I sent the message. Her stone may be a cenotaph but there's no way of knowing that until the headstone is in place. If it says "In Memory Of" above her name it means it's a memorial only stone.

Thank you for your reply. I just thought if she sent you a message other than leaving one directly on your page, her email address may have been displayed being it may have been sent your email address directly. I appreciate your quick response. The only way I can message her is directly on her page. My fingers are crossed she'll wind up back on here soon :)

(as I went to save her number after we hung up, there were only 6 digits displayed on my phone... It may have been because she was calling from out of the country)

Hoping you can help me... Just within the last 24 hours, you transferred Albert's grave to his daughter Annie. Her father served on the USS Pyro years ago and she just contacted me by phone yesterday... I assume she found my contact info through the USS Pyro Association's web page, as I'm one of their board officers. We discussed her father's grave, as there's no headstone and hasn't been since he was buried in 2012. We discussed the Pyro Association helping her with the cost & organization of if since her family doesn't have the money and they are now in the Philippines. Regretfully, she didn't give me an email address before we hung up and we agreed her tel no would be on my caller ID and I could save it after our call (no need to write it down). I am left with no way of reconnecting with her :( I told her about find a grave and she was going to establish an account as we hung up. I then also realized he has two (duplicate) memorials. One is mine (170621749) and the one you transferred to her was yours. She must have sent you an email for the request... Could I ask you to please forward her email address to me? I'd be forever grateful. You can see the photo of his memorial that I'm managing and it clearly shows a pile of dirt :( You can also verify I'm legit either by my profile here or on the USS Pyro's website. Hope that helps ease any question you may have. I promise you I'm not a psycho trying to get an email address on her. Thanks so much for your help!
