I am a former Marine and a Vietnam Vet. I spent about 18 months in Nam.|
I can only speak for myself and the photos that I have taken. I am giving my express permission for you to use my photos in any way you see fit in your family research.
I will try to never forget that am a volunteer out here, doing work for you, the absent family member.
I do not selfishly hoard my pictures under the pretense of a 'copyright'. WHO in their right mind refuses to share OPENLY the photo of someone else's family grave stone?
I DO NOT PLAY F.A.G.'s numbers game that so many of us despise! I do NOT hoard memorials. I openly welcome and gladly transfer MY memorials upon request.
VERY VERY FEW of these memorials are my family. SO if they are in yours do not be afraid to ask for a transfer.
I do not hold tightly to strict family guidelines. I prefer that you are family of some sort BECAUSE I believe no one takes better care of family then family. But I also believe there may be other valid reasons for wanting a transfer.
The four generation rule....MY THOUGHTS ONLY.....Since when does a family tree or your ancestors start or stop at four generations??? If you are doing your family tree it is impossible to to continue on or finish if you stop at 4 generations only! How incomplete would that be!?
Also a bit out of the box..... if it was a close family friend, and old boy friend or someone that played an important part in your life that you wish to pay respect to and manage the memorial instead of a total stranger, please explain that to me and I'll more then likely still transfer to you.
If you are a volunteer on the Findagrave website and decide for any reason that you no longer can or wish to maintain your memorials, please transfer your memorials to someone who has an active account and is willing to take over management of your memorials.
If you do not know someone personally, PLEASE email Findagrave and explain your situation. They will take over management of your memorials and continue to maintain them for edits and family transfers.
Right now, while you are still active you can email "email@example.com" if you have someone (usually a family member) who has accepted to take over stewardship of your memorials. Please send in their name and member number. F.A.G. will add a note to your member page stating the identity of who you are making your steward. You can have them email in after your passing and they will make sure that they have access to update all of your memorials.

Hello again Larry,
I have updated the cemetery and other info for Vincent and If you wouldn't mind, could you also transfer Mary's memorial to me. I cannot contact the original New jersey contributor--her messages are disabled. I would like to be able to manage my grandmother's memorial as well. Thanks again for everything you do for Find a Grave.
|mawhipple1||RE: Vincent Stuzenski|
I am so happy that you have contacted me regarding Vincent Stuzenski. He is my paternal grandfather. His wife, Mary, lost the Wisconsin farm after Vincent was killed in a farm accident and when my Dad, their only living son, was drafted into the Navy towards the end of WWII. She ended up moving to Jersey City and is buried in New Jersey.
I have Vincent 's death certificate and their marriage record from Connecticut but I know nothing else about their time in WI. I didn't know if there was a stone for Vincent.
I appreciate your extra effort in getting this info to me.
If you could tell me what church or other records there may be available about this family I would love to try and follow up with some more research. I have been telling my husband that we have to go to WIsconsin. Is their church still there and active?
Thanks again. My cousin will be very happy when she hears the news of seeing a photo of his gravestone.
My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. If you could email the photo or any other info you might have, I would be very grateful!
PS. I have Vincent's tree online at ancestry.com. If you want to check it out it's under Vincent Stuzenski Tree.

God Bless you for all your hard work. It is people like you that keep our ancestors alive for the rest of us. Jennie Giberson was my 2nd great grandmother and I would definitely appreciate a transfer. <3

Thank you very much for all the transfers. I have learned from my earlier mistakes and I do check now before adding a new memorial. I will delete those I added, as soon as I update with additional information. I appreciate all your work and again thank you for the transfers.
