Thank you for fulfilling my photo request for Civil War veteran William Cale at Pitman Chapel Cemetery. Kent Kooi and I have been researching the men of the 4th Iowa Cavalry for four years, and in addition to updating their memorials, we are preparing a presentation to donate to several Iowa county historical societies. We would like to ask permission to use your headstone photo on his page in our presentation. We would credit the photo as "Courtesy of Herb Price." Please let me know, and thank you again for fulfilling the photo request.

Thank you, Herb Price!!!
Thank you so much for the multiple gravestone pictures you took of Sacred Heart Cemetery in Burlington Iowa.
It was very sweet of you to go and take those pictures and I'm very grateful.

Hi Herb, I'm fairly certain the stone you photographed is the wrong Joshua Wilkerson. There are two buried at Shinar and they are uncle and nephew. The uncle born in 1812 and the nephew in 1839. I zoomed in on your photo and it is the same stone that I photographed back in 2007. See memorial # 19875093. It has the same inscription as your photo:
Mar. 8, 1894
54 Ys. 7 Ms. 11 Ds.
I also remember the stone I photographed was next to Amanda, George and Margaret. Apparently both Joshuas died about the same time so it would be an easy mistake to make. My cousin's wife tried to find the stone for Joshua, b. 1812 and had no luck so maybe there isn't one. Anyway, thought you would want to know. -Scott

jUST SAW MY GREAT-GRANDFATHER'S HEADSTONE ON "FIND A GRAVE" AND WAS PLEASED TO SEE IT. I WAS THE ONE WHO WAS ABLE TO ORDER THE HEADSTONE FOR HIM THROUGH WASHINGTON, DC. IT WAS PATHETIC THE HEADSTONE THAT WAS THERE. THE HOSPITAL WAS OF GREAT HELP TO ME DURING THIS PROCESS. i HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING HIM FOR MANY YEARS BEFORE I FINALLY FOUND HIM. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME. AGAIN, THANK YOU.
