Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am the oldest son of Alvin Lewis Hardaway and De'Anna Lenore Stanley. I have the privilege of exploring a black paternal lineage as well as a white maternal lineage; the Hardaway-Mills of African American descent and the Stanley-Sample of Caucasian descent. My white lineage relates back to the infamous Aaron Sample, and still more infamous Abraham Vaughan--having relation to King James I. Royalty runs strong in my genes with a possible tie to the Great Chief Mushulatubbee (though it may be coming to light that the Ashfords from which I descend may have been synonymous with Choctaw Native Americans because they simply purchased Oklahoma lands from said natives who were very poor--time will tell). My black relatives worked for Louisiana Judge John Perkins Sr. and Jr. of Tensas Parish, Louisiana. My black Great Grandfather, Green Hardaway, would then rise up and support the community of Wesley Chapel, Texas in Gonzales County and father more than 25 children. By discovering myself through researching my past, I have gleaned that I am not just a "black male"; I am Irish, Welsh, Ethiopian, English, German, and Choctaw Native American; part of a larger scope of ideas and people.

Happy Hunting!

John Anthony Hood
Hi Andrew, My mom and I photographed the entire Como cemetery about three years ago. I am pretty sure that there is not a marker for John Anthony Hood unless it is hiding in the grass. I would love to help you, but again I'm pretty sure there is not a stone. Paula Logan
