My Genealogy - I have been interested in and have researched my family history for many years. More details on the people in some of the memorials that I maintain can be found in my WorldConnect database (females can be found using their maiden name). My specific areas of geographical interest are northwest Pennsylvania in the Venango-Mercer-Crawford Counties area, central Illinois in the Cumberland-Effingham-Jasper Counties area, and southern Illinois in the Hamilton-Wayne Counties area. Most of my ancestors were in America before 1800 and I thus have various other geographical interests spread throughout the eastern, southern, and midwestern U.S. More details on my genealogy can be found at my Website link on this profile page.|
Requesting an Update/Correction - I am always happy to update any of the memorials that I manage with new or corrected info. Please use the "Suggest a Correction" (SAC) feature found by clicking on the Edit tab which is in the top right portion of the memorial page underneath the decedant's name (see here for more info). When requesting updates to the Relationship Links, please include the names and memorial #'s for the persons to be linked to. I am usually able to respond to a SAC request within a few days and update the memorial with the new/corrected info, well within the 30-day window recommended by Find A Grave.
My Transfer Philosophy - I am not a strict constructionist when it comes to the Find A Grave Transfer Guidelines and do honor most transfer of management requests. My main concern with all memorials is that they be managed properly and contain the most complete information possible, and that SAC requests for memorials are addressed in a timely manner. Although most memorial managers are very good about responding to SAC requests, there are too many times where SAC requests go unanswered (perhaps for legitmate reasons) and the Find A Grave admins have to then be burdened with intervening to fulfill the requests. The only situations where I will almost always not do transfers is for memorials where I am a descendant of, or more closely related to, the person or have some other burning desire to manage the memorial myself. I also do not honor bulk surname transfer requests. Please use the SAC feature when requesting a transfer and state your relationship to the person or other other reason for wanting to manage the memorial, and I will most likely be happy to transfer.

I have transferred the picture to your memorial for Oscar and deleted mine. I'm not related to anyone in that cemetery, so if there are any others you are interested in managing, just let me know.

If you provide me with the section and plot numbers I will try to take your photos. Crown Hill wants to charge me $5.00 per name for that information

Hello...I took shots of her death year from several different angles ...it is either 1859 or 1879...she was 39 years 5 months when she died...delete any photos you don't want...I looked at it from one side and thought that it was a 5 and from other angles it looked like a 7...sorry couldn't be more help...do you know where she died?

So I am kind of confused on your SAC's. If William H Hudson is the SPOUSE of Mahala A Porter Gaines and they married in Feb 27, 1842 in Hamilton Co, Illinois, how could HE have been born in 1843?
If this William H Hudson is the SON of William and Mahala Hudson, then I need to REMOVE the spouse link and change to a child link.
I have never seen a transcription, so I do not know who is who, but I THINK you are saying that the memorial I created is for the son not the father. Is that correct?

Hi & Thank you for making the changes. I was updating that line & the cut/paste I left had son versus husband. Also, thanks for the new info on the edit tab. I only wish there was a comment section to communicate so I didn't have to send additional messages if needed... Thanks again! Sincerely, Eve

Thanks Mike...I have added Sarah's headstone photo to your memorial and deleted mine. I am not related to her so left her with you.
I may have found a mistake, but will let you look at what I found and make a decision...I photographed Sneed Cemetery in Hamilton County Illinois and found a Sarah Wooldridge . I made a memorial for her...128279616. She is buried close to Martha & Robert Adams. You have Martha's daughter, Sarah as being buried in Franklin County. Was wondering if the one I found could be her?
Thanks so much for the correction with the cemetery - I should have figured that out with the low numbers - also for the links.

Thank you for the correction of cemetery location. Find-a-grave does have a Moss Ridge Cemetery listed in Hamilton Co, as well as Hancock. If there is not one in Hamilton Co, what steps should be taken to remove it from their list? I see there are no burials there now -- I did not create that cemetery in case you are wondering :-) .
