Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy life, spending time on my boat and flying remote control airplanes. I started working on my genealogy in June 2009. I did this for my granddaughter.

I had a second cousin that was a ball turret gunner on a B-17-G Flying Fortress named "Screw Ball." Sgt Malcolm Leon Kearns was killed on Aug 6, 1944 over Germany. Five members of the crew survived and were taking POW. I have located three that died in Oct 2007, Jan 2008 & Jun 2008. I hope to locate the other two.

Talk with your elders and write it down before they die. It will make your children's job a lot easier when they look into their genealogy.

Thanks, I think I have found all the children except Ruth Hilton Harrelson b abt 1910 and her husband Rodney H. Harrelson. I'm surprised they aren't listed either at Center Methodist or Greenhill.

Laura Wesson
You have a picture posted of LAURA WESSON. I think its Oakwood Cemetery. She apparently was instrumental in the war in some compacity. I have a friend that is very interested in the history of the war. He's been looking for her grave site/ memorial.

Any chance that you would know exactly where it is so that I can relay the information to him ??

You can email me at

THANK YOU ! - Cindy Bennett

Thank you for the additional information--which I added to his entry.

I didn't know him---but I've seen him around town for MANY years--always wondered who he was. (The hair). I hate it was thru his obituary that I discovered his name.
