RE: Mary Jubock Orahoske
Hi Suzanne. Elizabeth never did come to America, but her two daughters, Mary and Elizabeth, did when they were in their teens. They landed in New York and both married and had families. My husband is the grandson of Mary. Mary's daughter Margaret is my mother in law. We live in the Milwaukee WI area.

RE: Mary Jubock Orahoske
From what our family knows, Elizabeth never left Hungary. Her two daughters, Elizabeth and Mary Pataky, did travel to America in 1921. We beleive that Elizabeth Orahoske had died by that date as the girls were 21 and 14 and traveled alone.

Mary is my husband's grandmother. We had no idea that Elizabeth Orahoske's mother (Mary Jubock) or any of her family came to America until we read your information on Find a Grave - so that you for that!

Mary and Elizabeth Pataky arrived in New York and stayed with a relative until they married. Both girls married in 1924 even though Mary was still 16 at the time.

Thanks again for sharing the information about the Orahoske family.

Mary Jubock Orahoske
Hi. I was reading the information about Mary Jubock Orahoske and was wondering if you are the source? My husband's great grandmother was Elizabeth Orehoske Pataki from Satoraljaujhely Hungary - and I'm wondering if it's the same Elizabeth mentioned in the write up. I had assumed that Elizabeth and her parents all remained in Hungary so I was surprised to come across this information. Anything you can tell me would be much appreciated.

Scerilda Batt
I forgot--it looks like she is listed on the Meeks Mortuary records as Sarilda Batt, and her daughter is listed as Mrs. Francis M. Stewart.

Scerlda Batt #123065721
Hi,
You had requested a headstone photo for Scerlda Batt--sorry to say there is no headstone. My husband and I were at Beech Grove Cemetery today and Mrs. Batt is listed in cemetery records as being buried in Section J, Lot 154. That would put her between Conyers (J, Lot 155) and Garrett (J, Lot 153). I did post of photo of the lot where she is buried. It is always sad when there is no headstone.
Take care,
Jane
