Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've have been in AZ since 1952. I moved from OK, with my family L.C. "Whit" & Addie, for my dad's health. I would be willing to travel to Payson, Snowflake, Taylor, etc. about a 50-mile radius to take photos. I have the 'genealogy bug' and love helping those of you, like me, NEED to know your roots. I'm on a mission, and I don't exactly know why. I'd love to help you. Send me your requests.

RE: John Conway Sr. in KY
I do not think that you are on the correct path, but I could be wrong. My John's name has always been Conway without the extra "a". He was originally from Dublin Ireland, as far as I have investigated. He came over about 1730. He was originally a Latin teacher, but turned to farming to support his large family. He is first found in Virginia, but moves to what became Kentucky in the 1770's. He and his family were walked from a place called Ruddles Mills, Kentucky to Detroit, Mi. by the British and the Indians during the Revolutionary War. I have a grandparent named William Conway b. 1793, d. 1832; born and died in what is now Bourbon Ct., Ky. The John and Elizabeth you discuss are my grandparents, he is the John from Ireland.

Here is my kinship from
john conway (1710 - 1801)
is your 4th great grandfather
john conway (1758 - 1837)
son of john conway
William Conway (1793 - 1832)
son of john conway
James William Conway (1828 - 1898)
son of William Conway
William Henry Harrison (Harry) Conway (1859 - 1945)
son of James William Conway
James Thomas Conway (1911 - 2004)
son of William Henry Harrison (Harry) Conway
linda sue (susie) conway
You are the daughter of James Thomas Conway

I will be glad to help you in any way. I have looked at your Find A Grave information and do not see any kinship to the info. that I have obtained. I did get the same location for the burial site of John 1710-1801, but personally, I have a hard time believing that his body would have been carried that far. Perhaps a bucket of earth, but that is all. One son, Samuel, Find A Grave Memorial# 10156965, is buried in Bush Cemetery in Marion County, Mo. I believe this is the same county as John Sr. may be buried. All my information about the Conway family is in ancestry under conway0713.

I see you have asked for a picture of Jesse.
His wife Sarah Jane Bowers is in my family and I was wondering how you are related?

RE: Jacob & Annie Levin (e)
Vy, I'll check out some leads and newspapers when I'm go to Atlanta on December 7th. I am not related, I just do genealogy research, esp. on individual buried in Oakland Cemetery. Obituaries are often good leads for the other family members.
I believe Jacob, death in 1906 is buried at Oakland, will check out the tombstone, the paper record often have errors. Harry was possibly in Chicago, also. 2 of the children were born there before the family came to Atlanta. Hans
