Thank you to all the researchers who have told me that my work has helped them in some way. That is very important to me. I hope others who are able to take pictures and/or catalog cemeteries in the area where they live will do it. This is what this site is all about. Sharing with others who can't travel all over the country getting their family information.|
I love getting corrections, transfers, and link requests, but PLEASE DO IT FROM THE MEMORIAL PAGE as it is so much easier. It gives me all the info I need.....along with your request, of course! I will not do requests from the public message page. I am much too busy to look up the memorial to make the changes for you. DO ALL REQUESTS FROM THE 'EDIT' LINK ON THE INDIVIDUAL MEMORIAL PAGE!
Also, I've had quite a number of requests from people who think I also do free research. No, I don't. I take headstone photos and try to make sure cemeteries are complete and online. I have other hobbies. I don't do paid research either.
Happy Hunting, Kathy

( I removed Martha as mother of Allen & Jessie. She died in 1892 and Allen was born 1893 and Jessie 1898. So for sure Martha is not their mother.)
My reply to your message above. Allen and Jessie were not Martha's sons. They are Nelson and Laura's sons. I believe the question is if Martha is Nelson's mother. Nelson's father Jesse is only seen in the census with a Martha as his wife but Nelson's death record says his mother is Catherine Cotton. The surname Cotton is seen on a few of Nelson's siblings records too. Still working on this though. It's my first time trying to piece them together.

I am still working on Nelson and just posted his obituary to his memorial page. Linking his family is a work in progress. Thank you for bearing with me and adding the updates.

What is your policy please on copying photos for use in Ancestry if I give you credit by saying "Used by permission of Kathy Merris Mills at Find A Grave." I live in Charlotte. Thanks so much for all of the volunteer work you do. I have done it only for ancestors thus far, so I know the work it takes and appreciate it very much.

Oops! I only meant to submit Doeothy Newman as a spouse. Please ignore the other one! That was another of Dorothy's spouses.
Thank you for transferring the 5 Stirewalts to me. I have linked and updated them. Will add more later.

The person who had added pictures to Lt. Biesecker's memorial was kind enough to remove one of lesser quality, allowing me to add the colorized bomber crew photo. Looks great.

I tried to add the photo, but there are already too many on the memorial, some of lesser quality. Pity one can't be removed to add this one. I'm not kin either, but thought the family would like to see it in color.

I found an incredible colorized photo showing Robert Wade Biesecker and his crew. It would be great if you could add it to his memorial. Here's the link if you are interested. I have been snipping these and adding them to memorials when I can find the person within a colorized picture.

|Rita Wehunt-Black||Surprise in Old Lutheran Cemetery|
Wow! My husband and I are so thankful for the transfer of CSA Pvt. Robert Brackett at Old Lutheran Cemetery. What a surprise to find my husband's "English" ancestor among my German ancestors at Old Lutheran Cemetery in Salisbury.
We can't thank you enough for creating his memorial.
