Bio and Links
Bio Photo I began working on my family history in 1998. My grandparents had so many photos with names on them...thus began my great adventure of tracking my relatives. I was a member of ancestry for 3 year, so much of my work prior to that time was with much help from other researchers. I believe in sharing the information that I collect since I won't be around for ever. After learning of find a grave, I began placing my family in their final resting places. In October 2011 I photographed the cemetery that contains 3 generations of the maternal side of my family...I am now hooked on photographically transcribing cemeteries. I have begun doing small cemeteries in my area. Anyone may use my photos and other work for their family history uses. If I can be of assistance in my part of the country, let me know and I will try to locate your family. Names that I am researching are: Towles, Moreland, Osman, Haydon, Broom, Allen, Alvis, Maycroft, Miller, Parkinson, Weaver, Eident, Watt, Blair as well as others.

RE: Ella Treat Barrett
Eugene and Harriet Treat had another daughter, Carrie Treat.
Born in 1879 in Riceville, Iowa.
I do not have her death.

Also, Eugene married again after Harriet died (1885).
He married (My great-great grandmother) Maria (nee Robinson).
I have her obit, DC, marriage record, etc. Together, they had another child, Clifford Treat. (Memorial# 6498727).

I plan to add Maria's name to Find A Grave soon. I thought I had already included it!

Thanks for all you do!

Ella Treat Barrett
Thanks for the Ella Barrett information!

I have not created a memorial for Ella's mother. My great-great grandmother raised Ella...but she's not related to me.

Ella's Mother: Hattie J Preston, 18 May 1853 in Ohio
Died: 24 September 1884. Buried in Greenwood Cemetery,
Rockford, IL

Ella's Father: Eugene Ashley Treat (info unknown)

I'm positive about this information.

I have Hattie's obit, if you'd like that, too!

Wilson Henry Barrett's obituary

Decatur Daily Review, Page 14

Wilson Henry Barrett

Wilson Henry Barrett died at 5:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the family home, 1769 North Edward Street. He was fifty-seven years old last April. His death was caused by cancer and followed a long illness.
Mr. Barrett was born in Ableman, Wis., April 14, 1874. He and Miss Ella Treat were married in Galena in 1890. He was a machinist for the Williams Sealing Company before his health failed. He was a member of the Cleveland Avenue Methodist Church, the Machinists' Union and the Equitable Fraternal Association. His wife and two children, Roy Barrett of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Della Crowder of Decatur, survive him. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. R.J. Taylor, Decatur. Wilson Barrett
Wilson Barrett is only an ancestor through marriage; I was in the process of looking for his WIFE, Ella (Treat) Barrett. As of today, I have not found her burial place! Ugh.

I will gladly delete my memorial to Wilson Barrett. Could you add the specific dates of his birth and death? I also have his obituary if you'd like to see it.

Wilson Barrett
Birth: Apr. 14, 1874
Death: Jul. 2, 1931

RE: Charles Smith
Excellent. A labor of love, yes? One thing I'm curious to find out someday is whether there's any trace of, or accounting for, the burial spot for Charles' wife Matilda. My cousin, who's a direct descendant, said she's in an unmarked grave somewhere there but doesn't know where.

Charles Smith
Hi, are you related to Charles Smith (114788230) or were you just documenting the cemetery? If you're related, I know a couple of other relatives.
