I currently live in Washington State. |
My ancestors lived in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana from about 1760 to 1930 when my parents moved to Baton Rouge. My mother was born in Marksville and my father in Bordelonville. Several generations of my ancestors are buried at St. Joseph in Marksville and at St. Peter in Bordelonville as well as other cemeteries in the Parish.

I am trying to find out if Edward Clay was related to Webster Clay and a John Clay the son of CB Clay from Texas.
I just found an old letter from one of my cousins (now passed) and he mentioned Ed, Virginia and Virgie and that they were living in Louisiana. He said that Virgie may have more info on the Clay family ???

Jerry, I am Jessie Briggs jr. I believe we are cousins or at the very least related. Both my great and great great grandfathers married Bordelon ladies. Thank you for all the research you have done on our families. lets get together on line to share info and updates. Thanks Jess
So my mom's brother says you are their cousin, Etna's son?

Her parents are actually Cloise Lee Mooney (father) and June M Behman (mother). You can see that her last name was Mooney from the following obit.

Can you tell me anything about Ollie? I believe she was first married to my uncle Jesse L Huffman, he died in Shreveport in 1958. I believe they owned a laundry. Could this be the same Ollie? Thank you, Karen Wazny

I believe we have met when I was staying with Oncle Anthony Bordelon in Ark when he owned the stores in Conway and Pinebluff. I may be wrong. It could have been Gerald my cousin. I am researching the history of my Mother who died when I was born along with my twin sister Janet. I have many photos of the family given to me by and through my Sister Arlene Patricia Kennedy who I buried a few years ago here in Rhode Island. The photos, cooking book, etc are from our side of the family in the Garden District, Hessimier, etc of my great grand parents, grand parents (the Decote family too). I hope to hear from you. I am living in East Greenwich, RI for now, my birth place.
