Graves: I received my High School Diploma from Bend High School, Bend, Oregon in 1977 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science Diploma in 1982 from Oregon State University in the field of electrical and computer engineering. This was later followed by my receiving a Master of Science Diploma in 1991 from California State University, Northridge. Captured the majority of his obituary during a recent research project and thought I would pass it along for family.

Thanks! The fact that she died along the Oregon Trail fits the Mary I Early that is buried in Walla Walla County, Washington. I read an article that says that the Walla Walla River is a part of the Oregon Trail. That river passes through Waitsburg, WA where Mary I Early is buried. The strange thing is that there is a grave stone. It could be that at some point family returned and put the grave stone there. Or it may be that James H. Early stayed there a while. There is no positive proof yet.--the stone has wife of J. H. Early but the person who put the memorial up read it as J. A. Early

Thanks for doing the link. Do you know the location on findagrave of any more of Adam's children? I am wondering if Mary Isabella is buried in the state of Washington. I know that she married James Early. There was a James H. Early that went to Washington, Oregon and on to Idaho. I can't figure out for certain if he is the correct one. The age is about right.

Thank you for the death date. I posted the date today. In the obit it mentioned Mt. Pleasant. Made that change too.

|Roanna Camden Cann||William Graves|
William Graves was the son of William Graves and Lucy Berger of Pittslvania County, VA. Lucy was the daughter of Jacob Berger and Catherine Nowlin. I am descended from Lucy's brother, Samuel Casper Berger and his wife Hester Ann Roe Berger Berger (Sam and Hester were first cousins). William and Lucy settled in Missouri where they had their children. Their children settled in Arkansas, Nebraska, Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon, and California. Lucy's father, Jacob, is Find A Grave Memorial# 11427439 and her mother Catherine is Find A Grave Memorial# 11427439. Lucy died in Montgomery, Missouri and I have not located her grave, yet.
