From "How Green Was My Valley" by Richard Llewellyn:
" I saw behind me those who had gone, and before me those who are to come, I looked back and saw my father, and his father, and all our fathers, and in front to see my son, and his son, and the sons upon sons beyond. And their eyes were my eyes. As I felt, so they had felt, and were to feel, as then, so now, as tomorrow and forever. Then I was not afraid, for I was in a long line that had no beginning and no end, and the hand of his father grasped my father's hand and his hand was in mine, and my unborn son took my right hand, and all, up and down the line that stretched from Time That Was to Time That Is, and is Not Yet, raised their hands to show the link, and we found that we were one, born of Woman, Son of Man, made in the Image, fashioned in the Womb by the Will of God, the Eternal Father."

I have always enjoyed oral history at an early age. Wish I had asked more questions now... In 1994 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer, went through surgery and chemo, I was given 3-6 years to live. So after I recovered from the treatments, in 1996 I decided to sell my home of 20 years and go on the road to research my family 1st-hand that were in my family files. I became a "fulltimeRVer" for six years; following the paths of my ancestors was a memorable experience and very humbling at times. I visited so many places I would never have visited otherwise... courthouses, libraries, cemeteries, meeting family and getting to actually stand on family land that my ancestors owned. Well, I am still here, I guess I still have ancestors to find and their stories to tell..... the oral history is out there, I just have to find the descendant that it was passed down to..
In addition to my family lines, I research Barren, Butler, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe and Warren Counties in KY.

Thanks for posting the information on Edward. I only had prayer card for him that I found in some of my grandfather's papers. I will be linking him to his parent's grave information.

Thank you, Laura. I had looked for several years for my grandfather's sister, Cordelia "Cora" (Lawrence) Wing. She was born in Hoboken, Hudson County, New Jersey and was the wife of Charles L. Wing. She was the only daughter of William W. Lawrence and his wife, Margaret Melissa Snell. I can supply additional information on the Lawrence family if desired.
If there is any further information available from the cemetery or elsewhere in Barren County, I would be very happy to know of it.

We meet again. When I opened this page tonight, I am ecstatic with emotion and tears Even my mother was never sure where she was buried. Thank you so much for putting this wonderful page up. I have been searching for her for years. And, now, I can physically go to her graveside.
Sincerest wishes for you and yours.

You have recorded many of the folks interred in the Lessenberry cemetery at Beckton. Do you have any information about Florence, the oldest daughter of Jim and George Ann Lessenberry? She is the only one of their 11 children not listed in Find a Grave. Her husband was Luther Holman. I know they lived at Beech Grove and maybe Oil City during their marriage.
