You are very welcome, I am always glad to help.
I also added his wife, if you are related would you like her transferred to you?

Steve, I probably have the same info on Mary Layton, 146661834, that you do, but here is a rundown of what I know:
1860 census, Elliottstown, IL, age 1, with mother Sarah and 3 siblings.
1880 census, Elliottstown, IL, age 21, with mother Sarah and brother William.
Illinois marriage list: Mary E. Layton to James D. Merry, 11-19-1882, Effingham County.
1900 census, Lucas Township, Effingham County, age 40, with husband James and daughter Lucy and a boarder.
1920 census, Cooper Street, Palmer, Ellis County, TX, age 50, with sister Siinda Curtis and daughter Lucy.
I have not worked on these people in about 5 years.

I noticed last December you left a posting regarding my grandma's sister and difficulty getting the page updated by the poster. I didn't see the obituary you mentioned posting, but I have my own copy of the original, so could post it if needed. Her father was John N. Loy, not John William Loy as you listed. John William ("Uncle Bill") was her eldest full brother, with 4 older half-siblings. My grandma Susan was the eldest child, of John N.'s first marriage to Edith Cotton. The pages that show graves John N. Loy and Ladosca Frances Smith Loy will need to be updated as the markers have wrong dates! John's death date was really 21 June 1930 (not July) and hers was 20 July 1933 (not June). I'll be contacting the poster, but thought I'd let you know for your records. I have copies of death certificates and John N.'s obituary, but you can also see the correct dates at the IL State Archive online death index database.
BTW: Aunt Alma's husband was also a Loy descendant and his twin sister married back into the Loy family, too.

Steve, Thank you very much for the photo of the stone of Branson Layton. It was a very nice surprise and a stone I didn't think would be found. Your work is very much appreciated.
