|I have many relatives who are buried in Northern Calif. Cemeteries. Some of them came here during the Gold Rush. My goal is to add photos of their grave markers and any bio history that I can find to memorialize their lives.|

Hi Larry! Most of the THRESHER memorials have been transferred to my Find A Grave ID (by the photo-volunteer). Please review the lot of 'em, and let me know if you would like to add/delete/edit any of the facts, figures, dates or other info... Our collective efforts have gone far to thoroughly document the CALDWELL / THRESHER records. -RCK

Hi! I see you have added the photo and memorial for Oscar Henry Squires (1889 - 1957) F.A.G. # 71970587. I am wondering if I might have your permission to add this photo to my Ancestry.Com page. I will, of course, give you credit! Thanks for all you are doing for Find-A-Grave!

Sorry, sent you a link to add her father ... but that was for her stepfather. My mistake. You also got obit, which I had in my files.

You Are very Welcome . I do not have any other info on this Family .
Hi from Wisconsin - just sent two detailed lots of "historical" info to you via email ...about the CALDWELL family. I have no relation to that lineage, but our ancestors were present and with them upon arrival - sharing one roof (a 20 x 20 log house) at "Pike River", on the shores of Lake Michigan, back in 1836 - at what is Kenosha, Wisconsin today. ENJOY!
|Vicalina||RE: Duplicate memorials|
Here is what I would do and have done in the past when there are duplicates. Write down all the information that you don't have from both memorials. Check the dates for which memorial was created last, meaning most recent date, then write to the owner of that recent page, explain what you would like done such as removing their page due to duplicity and also ask them if they would mind you copying their info so you can use it on the other memorial page. It's not proper etiquette to request a transfer then delete the page and I would not recommend it. Other than that, it's up to the person to comply with your request. If it seems that person is no longer a member here then you will have to talk with the administrator about what can be done. Also, I would ask the person who posted any photos of the headstone etc if they could place the same photos on the page you want to remain. Lastly, if the person does not want to delete their page, you can try to get the older page deleted by doing the same thing above and getting the info entered into the newer page.
As for the dups you found in Peoria, I moved my photos over to the other pages with the obits and have removed my pages. I almost always run a search before I create a page but with names being entered so many different ways it's hard to catch. Always let me know if I have duplicated someone else's page.
I hope this helped.

I'm glad you're enjoying Find A Grave! It really is one of the best genealogy sites around and it's free. Let me know if there are other memorial pages I have posted that you would like tranferred to you.
Happy Genealogy Trails,

|Joe Marek||Lueth family|
I am no relation to the Lueth family. I had a photo request for Minnie Churchill Lueth's stone for find a grave. While there, I took photos of the rest and entered them. I do that in the hopes that family members can use the info.
My next door neighbor Muriel's maiden name is Lueth from Kankakee. Her brother was Carl "Skip" Lueth.
I've tranferred Sophia Campbell to you. Best way to request a transfer is to locate the EDIT tab in the upper right corner of the memorial page for the person you would like the tranfer from. It makes it easier for the person doing the tranfer since the information needed (memorial and member numbers)is included in the request. Also, stating your relationship to the person you are requesting the tranfer of helps for those who only tranfer close relationships. Myself, I will tranfer almost any pages I have except those most closest to me as I believe it's best to have family, no matter how distant, to be with other family.
I, too, live in Sacramento and have several ancestors buried in Gridley-Biggs cemetery. I have some ancestors named Campbell but I don't think any are located in G-B Cemetery.
So welcome to Find A Grave and happy Genealogy Trails!
