When my soul is restless
And things seem out of line,
I visit an old graveyard
To take a mystical step back in time.
I find the oldest tombstones
Then read the messages there;
I consider what their days had been
And how our lives in ways compare.
We all have lived though heartaches
As well as episodes of fun;
Surviving loss of loved ones,
And rewarded for a job well done.
Sometimes if I'm very still
I can hear what they have to say
And feel them reaching out to me
Grateful for my momentary stay.

|Molly Lindsey||RE: Wike/Wyke Cemetery?|
The surname was spelled Wike but like so many we have researched they seem to spell them all kinds of ways back when. I think someone did not like the popular one of Wyke and they made a new page. I'm sure it is the same one. I just want to try and get them merged and the new one deleted!
No my son left last April. He is going to school in TX until next May! I won't see him for the holidays but we were together for over a year and that will have to do for a while.
Take care and please let me know what you find out.
|Molly Lindsey||Wike/Wyke Cemetery?|
I hope this finds you well. I was wondering if you have found or heard ot this cemetery in Jackson County. Wyke is the one with so many Wike surnames in it and someone has made another page for Wike Cemetery with just 15 names in it, some repeated from the other one. Is this the same and if so is there a way we can get them merged before it gets out of hand.
Thanks in advance if you can help.
I appreciate your effort in trying to find my Kimsey cousins. Thank you.

I just wanted to pop by and say heartfelt THANK YOU's for all your contributions in western North Carolina. I have found tons of family info here on FindAGrave thanks to your selfless generosity. Please don't transfer any of the updates I've requested, they are distant cousins. :) Just wanted to say how much you are appreciated.
Have a glorious day. Merry CHRISTmas!

Thank you so much for Frank and Leneta S. Crisp gravestone photo's and there may be others that you have made for us, too. Our parents were born in Macon County and have alot of family members buried all over that county. We still have some cousins there.
Thanks again and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thank you for the photo of Eller Crawford Swafford. I added her husband. We appreciate you and all of the other volunteers who take the time to go and get the photos of our loved ones who are no longer with us. I hope you might be able to help us with some other photos in the future. Take care.
