I have been working on genealogy for about 25 years. I just found out about Find A Grave a few months ago. What a handy tool this is. I enjoy going around to different cemeteries looking at all the old headstones, and taking pictures for people who might not every see the headstonesof there ancestors if someone didn't take pictures for them.|
If anyone finds an error, please let me know and I will correct it. Also anyone who would like to add something, I can also do that for you.
For over 15 years I have been seriously researching my Gibbons family, with a beginning origin in South Carolina (Joseph Franklin Gibbons 1839 and still searching for information prior to that), also researching the Paris family (Rhoda Catherine Paris) from Spartanburg, South Carolina and the Giles families from that area.
From there the search has taken me into Harlan and Bell Counties in Kentucky, and surrounding counties in VA & TN, later on to Rockcastle and Lincoln Counties in KY also. In KY families that connect with our Gibbons are: Fee's, Green, Burkhart, Hensley, Wynn, Wilson and more.
My grandfather Andrew Jackson Gibbons was born in SC, was raised and married Margaret Fee in Harlan County KY. They raised their family in Lee Co. VA. Andrew Jackson Gibbons brothers are, James Giles, John Giles, Spurgeon Gibbons, Willie Gibbons, Campbell Gibbons, Frank Gibbons II and Nathan Gibbons. No known sisters.
If anyone has information of any of these families I would be very appreciative of anything you are willing to share.
I am also working on a register for Rose Hill Cemetery in Robinson, Kansas.

I am researching my paternal grandfather's WWI army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to the History and Roster of the 355th Infantry, 89th Division, John H. Rausch, of Humboldt, Nebraska, belonged to this unit.
I noticed on Findagrave.com that you provided a photograph of the cemetery where John H. Rausch is buried. I would like to ask a huge favor, if it's within reason, and that is to photograph the grave of John H. Rausch and upload it to findagrave.com. Many men from this area belonged to this military unit and I'm trying to find their graves.
I appreciate your help!

I found the above memorial you created and I'm wondering about the note you added "Her husband was John Knox "Polk" McClelland." I'm wondering where you found the info for the note?

You created a Find A Grave for James L. Wilson in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Robinson, KS. Can you tell me are you related to him?
Reason for my asking he is a brother to my gg grandmother - Jane Wilson Duncan Smith. I'm trying to locate where she is buried and have been unsuccessful. Jane's first husband was Thomas J. Duncan, then she married Daniel Smith. Daniel Smith is buried in Tarkio Chapel and William Wlson and Mary Ann Varner Wilson are the parents of James L. Wilson and Jane Wilson.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
