I Would like to get in touch with any of these families.
And yes I'm also into the Long Coat Chihuahuas I love working on there pedigrees and figuring out whom I'm going to breed to whom off the pedigrees and I have some beautiful dogs...
On Photos: I have posted, please feel free to use them for any genealogy purposes. If I were going to copyright a photo, it would not be of a tombstone or cemetery - and, those members of the family who are deceased deserve to have their images remembered
Also about Transfers......
If they are part of your family I will Transfer...usually in each of our families there are only a couple of people who are interested in this.
I'm so disappointed when I see people who only transfer back 2 generations and saying that you can't managed all of your families, And They have so many even into the 100, thousand count But we can't manage a few thousand.
I have had family members transferred to me and have worked to add family information to all of them including photos. Be assured that I would never ask to have a memorial transferred to my membership for the sake of numbers. That is not my goal, AT ALL. I have numerous Virtual Cemeteries that are set up to hold members of the various direct lines/branches of my "Hair" family tree.
I do hope that some day these family branches will get in touch with me.
Two men were walking home after a party and decided to take a shortcut through the cemetery just for laughs. Right in the middle of the cemetery they were startled by a tap-tap-tapping noise coming from the misty shadows. Trembling with fear, they found an old man with a hammer and chisel, chipping away at one of the headstones.
"Holy cow, Mister," one of them said after catching his breath, "You scared us half to death -- we thought you were a ghost! What are you doing working here so late at night?"
"Those fools!" the old man grumbled. "They misspelled my name!"

Thank you Nadine -
I love the old look, but more so - that I now too have a copy..
Thank you so much - are you related to James Newton?

Thank you so much. I never knew him but he was married to my great aunt Martha Ella Caldwell, my maternal grandmothers only sister. She is buried on the Rainwater lot at Edgemont with my grandmother and many others. The lot is on the very front of the cemetery with a big marker (Rainwater). She has her own marker. She was Felix's second wife. He was her only husband. They married late in life. He had grown children but he and my aunt didn't have any children. He was a former mayor of Anniston.
Thanks again. I knew where he was buried but have never

Nadine, Thanks for posting the pictures of Charles C. Hair. Do you happen to have any of his siblings (other than James Cecil) and of his parents? I am attempting to get as many of the Hair family photos as I can.

Thank you for being prompt and the acknowledgement for the obit. The college in Athens has scanned copies of the old newspapers; I enjoy looking through them, locating obits and passing them on.

Hey Nadine, thank you for the edit on his name. I just wanted to let you know that his middle name is Carter. He is named after his mother's middle name. I added more info to his memorial in hopes that it will help you and others. I noticed the flower that you left had the wrong middle name and just wanted you to have the correct one!
Thank you again, and have a blessed night!

I was there with my wife and 80 yo Mom and neither climbed a fence. I parked along the street and walked through the gate. There were no locks as I remember.
Information submitted has been entered. Thank you.
