Graveyards

When my soul is restless
And things seem out of line,
I visit an old graveyard
To take a mystical step back in time.

I find the oldest tombstones
Then read the messages there;
I consider what their days had been
And how our lives in ways compare.

We all have lived though heartaches
As well as episodes of fun;
Surviving loss of loved ones,
And rewarded for a job well done.

Sometimes if I'm very still
I can hear what they have to say
And feel them reaching out to me
Grateful for my momentary stay.

RE: Florentine Jemima
Thank you so very much. You are indeed an angel.
I knew that angels walk among us. And indeed they do. Thanks again.

Kate, thanks, I would like for her to be added but I do not need to be responsible. My age and poor health makes me not want to take on any responsibility like that. I could live to be 100 like my Grandmother Morrison but it is highly unlikely with all my problems.(high blood pressure, heart problems, congestive heart, stage 4 of kidney failure---with the next stage dialysis) I am just living one day at a time, knowing that it is the Lord's will.I just thank Him for each day He gives me.
God Bless you for doing all you do for others.

RE: Florentine Jemima
That is just the problem. The picture of the tombstone was put on my "hints" from Ancestry.
It does not mention anything other than who submitted it. I did go to her death cert. Again it was a hint from Ancestry so after I accepted the hint I do not have the d c number to give you. I just read the dc and saw that it had the proper parent, etc and where she was buried. There was no connection on her husbands page to her in anyway.
I could not find her anywhere in Find A Grave but evidently if he found her marker she must be on Find A Grave somewhere. I thought perhaps you knew a way of finding her that I didn't. Thanks for your help anyway. I admire so much what all you are doing to help researchers like me.
Thank you,

Florentine Jemima "Mima" Adams Allen
I cannot find her on the listing in this cemetery. According to her death certificate born 1866 died 1959 she is buried in Green HIll Cemetery in Waynesville. Steve Adams 1153 shared a photo on Ancestry of her marker. It read:
(Mima) Adams wife of A M Allen and gave dates of birth and death. Is there any way that you can verify for me that she is buried there? He did not have name of cemetery. I no longer can visit cemeteries (I am 87 and in bad health) but would love to have this info for my family files on Ancestry. If it is too much trouble for you I will see if I can contact this Steve Adams some way. Thank you for all your efforts for Find A Grave. I appreciate so much the hard work all of you who give of your time and efforts do.

RE: Oscar & Margaret Hudson
Hi Kate. Oscar and Margaret are my great grandparents. I'd love to connect with you so we could share notes. Did you receive the email I sent recently?

Hey Ms. Kretchmer,
I noticed that you placed an pic on a memorial which I placed on Find-A-Grave. Memorial 136324905 Jerry Lee Cochran. Have you noticed that his head marker is wrong? The head marker states that he was born May 17, 2014 and he died September 17, 2014. That would make Jerry Lee Cochran 4 months old. Mr. Jerry Lee Cochran is much older than that. lol

Just to let you know that.

I do appreciate you taking the pic and placing it on his memorial.

Marcus

Book? Things are going well here, just taking it easy and enjoying life. I've been helping my sister with a bunch of family history data, we have some exploratory trips we want to take. You may have to go to the admins with the dupe situation, I think I've let her know of her dupes before with no response. Let me know if I can help you with anything! Cheri

No they just build a new one. The last time I was there they had just started building it. I'm sure it is beautiful, I just love the old churches.
