re Cyrus Upson
Thanks much Terry, I would appreciate a photo even of the broken stone... sometimes I am just photographing an empty lot! What a shame when some are vandalized ..although Cyrus's stone is just be from time and weather.
Every time i hear of cemetery vandalism i am very angry!

RE: Holcomb Headstone Photos
Another great photo! Again, thank you very much for all the effort you have put in on my behalf. It is greatly appreciated. Your photos and info added a lot to my family tree and hopefully to other searcher's trees as well.

Terry , thanks , great job as usual. Nice photo. I hope you were able to find a few more. I hate to think of all these old stones...falling into ruin and unreadable.

RE: Holcomb Headstone Photos
You are just full of great surprises! I have found a reference (in "The Holcomb(e) Genealogy" published in 1925) to Washington B. born Nov 27, 1832. That certainly sounds like the one you found. I don't know about Ellen. I'll need to look back over my sources and double-check. Now the big question is, Did you also take photos of their stones? I created new pages for both of them and would be thrilled to death if you would get me photos for them.
It is fantastic that someone or some group cared enough to clean up and repair the stones. I and a distant relative are in the process of having a stone made for 6 of my ancestors that are buried in the family plot with Nelson & Charlotte's sons, John and George, in Monroe County, Michigan. That is the area where my Mom grew up with her part of the Holcomb family.
Thank you, thank you very much again!
