If you contact me, please take a moment to say hello, good morning, or hey how are ya. On occasion I get "suggest a correction" notices that are brief, abrupt, and unfriendly in tone and seem more like robot communication than actual human beings. It's a personal pet peeve and I don't react well to those sorts of messages. A little simple human courtesy goes a long way with me.|
I research my family history in southwestern and south central Pennsylvania for the most part, although I live in northeastern New Jersey. Counties of interest include Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Fayette, Washington, Indiana, and others.
PLEASE: If you request an interaction with me, whether to discuss a memorial or request a transfer, please do not be "Anonymous" and not provide any means to contact you. I recently had someone request a transfer but when I tried to contact the person, was told that the submitter was anonymous and there was no way to leave a public message for him or her. I'm not comfortable with this method of communicating. Thanks.
PLEASE: If you write to me via "Suggest a Correction" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide me with evidence in the form of some kind of documentation for any edits you'd like me to make. This is especially true if I don't already know who you are. It's not possible for me to simply accept what someone out of the blue tells me is valid without sources, documentation, proof or some other compelling argument. Sorry to sound like a grouch, but that's just the way my work goes.

Michael every time I get an Obit or Death Cert from John Dick that gives a hint as to where he / she was buried I go looking in that Cemetery to see if someone has created Find A Grave MEM., if so I give whomever all the data that I have on them---that way the Mem. gets enriched. If there is not a Mem. at the burial site i create one for the person.

Michael, I'm still trying to locate Mary Cooley's gravesite for you at Milford Christian Church Cemetery. I may have to contact someone at the church to assist. I'll be back up that way in a couple of weeks and will try again then. Suz753

Sorry I only the one pic of that tombstone.

You are welcome. I think the dates might have been sunk down but I am not in the habit of digging around stones to fine out because it could damage the stone. (The ground hogs do too much of that already!)

Good Morning! I would like to ask if you would link Sarah Elisabeth Donaldson Hamer (135405109) with her parents, Robert Donaldson (13555308) and Ellen Ramsden Donaldson (163555143). The Donaldsons are my great grandparents. ~~ Marci, 7516186
|Albert Ledoux||RE: Mary Wilt|
I had jumped to conclusions, based on the fact that the Mary Wilt, b. ca. 1810, in the tombstone pic is shown in the 1870 census as living with a daughter Ann. I now see that the correct Mary Wilt for this page was living with husband Philip in the 1870, with no Ann present. So I have deleted the pic and created a new memorial page to host it.
Thanks for pointing this out.
