York and Adams County Cemetery Pictures

Harry Senft has taken over 270,550 pictures of of headstones, 313 cemeteries in York and Adams counties that are ALL posted online.
In conjunction with FamilyHart (aka Don & Jeanine Hartman), Custom Google Maps for each cemetery location have been produced so that the user can easily find the cemetery. An index of the cemeteries listed is also provided by name and by location. In addition, indexing of the actual cemetery picture files with links to the FamilyHart Online Databaseare being compiled. The FamilyHart Online Database contains over 798,247 linked family names, most of which have connections to York and Adams counties. This family database is the most comprehensive and complete listing of York and Adams County names on the Internet. It grows by about 1,000 names per week, and is updated online quarterly.
By The Hartman's
The York County Cemeteries USGenWeb site is a relatively comprehensive site for finding transcriptions and pictures of Tombstones in York County. Many of Harry Senft's pictures (and those of others) are posted here and are indexed by cemetery. Also found here are transcriptions of many cemeteries (some complete and many incomplete.) These transcriptions are valuable as they often include stones that are no longer readable and may not show up on photo images. Also many cemeteries only have transcriptions. Neither this site or the FamilyHart site are all inclusive for burials in York County but used together they provide the most comprehensive record of burials in the county found online.
There are over 345 different cemeteries in the county. Finding the right cemetery is compounded by the fact that many cemeteries have changed names over the years and are now known by different names. A comprehensive list of cemeteries can be found at York County Cemeteries and Locations. This link does not have burials listed but is the most complete listing of all the cemeteries in York County.

NOTE: All pictures from the web links below must have permission to post them on find a grave.

The purpose of the links is to help family members find their loved ones, for their own information and to put families together.

There are many people who have been archiving my pictures for me, of which I've put in hundreds of man hours to go out to these cemeteries and take these pictures.

There is much hard work that has been done to record the gravesites and post them online.

Hello Harry,
Thank you taking the time and making the effort to send me the following:
Their suggestion:
This memorial (Joseph and wife) should be moved to Dover Union Cemetery, Dover Twp, York, PA
I am always very pleased to accept any help sent my way. I strive to make my memorials as correct as is humanly possible...sometimes it does take a village LOL

Thank you so much Harry! I can't tell you what this means to me. I moved out of PA over 7 years ago and haven't been to visit her since before I moved.

Aunt Grace
What a wonderful site you have created. I really enjoy looking into my family history. Thank you.
Anyway, I remember that my dad, Robert Senft, had an Aunt Grace, but she is not listed. My Grandfather's name was Earl Willis Senft. He also talked about an Uncle Fred, but he might have been by grandmother's brother. I am not sure.
They lived on Winding Road in York.
Thank you for any information you have.

Dear Henry,

Thank you so much for the nice clear photograph and my aunt & uncle's grave marker. I so appreciate your time and effort!

I also want to thank you for your service to our country with the U.S. Marines. My father served with the U.S. Navy aboard the carrier USS Bon Homme Richard during the Vietnam War.

Best regards,
