I am very interested in genealogy and especially cemeteries. I will be willing to take photos of any cemetery in & near Duluth, MN, Superior, WI and all of Douglas County, Wisconsin when I am there in the summers. In the winter I am in the Southeast Valley by Apache Junction, Arizona if you have any requests from that area. Feel free to use any of my photos I have taken of graves and share with others. It would be nice to get credit for the photo but it isn't necessary. I don't think this site should be a race to see how many people you can put on here. That is just my opinion. Thanks to all of you who volunteer and have helped me with my family searches. I will help you if I can! |

Just ask Find A Grave to merge the records from both cemeteries. They will list both cemeteries together as one. Thank you for the update.

I'll email you.

Your welcome. Glad I was able to locate the grave for you.

My grandmother was Emilia Pellinen, first child of John and Matilda Pellinen whose headstones you have posted. You have also posted my grandfather, Fred E. Maki's headstone. Thank you! I have also found another possible connection, my uncle through marriage is Matt Koukari. I'd love to connect with you. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. I am heading to Finland in August and hope to continue geneologic searching on that trip. Pam Maki Shetler

Thank you for the information on her obit. I added portions to the memorial. Thank you so much. Bruce

Just a hint. I notice you posted a newspaper obit to this memorial. I just learned from the Find A Grave contributors forum that Find A Grave is systematically deleting these, as obits printed in the photograph area take up so much space. The info in these obituaries is so important. I would suggest you transcribe the info and get it posted in the bio section, along with any other obits you have posted to other memorials. One contributor wrote that she had posted dozens of these and they have all disappeared without warning!

Edward Oven is my Grandfather. He is buried in Oneota Cemetery, Duluth, Mn... Why am I not allowed to add the photo I took of his headstone to his memorial?

While not 100%, it seems very unlikely that Elmer would have a marker in one cemetery and be buried in another. If your information is correct, then Find A Grave can merge the two giving credit to both of you. If your information is wrong - then it should go. You can contact Find A Grave admin's for assistance or contact Oscar - he might be willing to remove his memorial.
