RE: Andrew J Reese
I'm not quite sure what this message means; are you requesting transfer for Andrew Reese? If so, let me know for sure. June

Twin Spring Cemetery
I see that you have memorial added to this cemetery. This is one my husband family cemetery, also his grandfather Otho Dowden is buried here. I also see a lot of fill in that need fill in, hope I can help. I have done research since 1984, this cemetery since 1990, I known, it need to be in the liberty, it just hard to part with, plus I keep finding more infro. So this is a good way to put my infro out there, plus add one or two here and there. What I am asking you is to keep checking your memorial for me and add what you can. Since I can't, this way they get fill in. I have lots and lots of infro on the people that are buried in this cemetery. Thanks for listing, hope we can fill in more, Barb Dowden

Pollie Coxe
My grandmother remembers her father being called a " half breed" and she is convinced that Levi was full blooded. I actually have no proof either
because I am not actually sure where to look for past information of Celia and Samuel. All census information lists them as white but if they were indian they certainly weren't going to say they were.
Tuesday is fine for you to look thru notes.I'm just excited you are willing to look again and share or cooperate to look further. I get excited when I find a piece of the puzzle then get frustrated when I run into a dead end.
I have worked in the past but am currently home with my youngest daughter so she can homeschool. I do research often when she is in online classes. I think I did try to email you at first so you may already have one from me. We can use email to communicate in the future. Mine is
Thanks for your time. Keep in touch.

RE: Elbert Carter Polly Cox
I have been trying to track down this indian heritage. I suppose if if Polly was full blooded than so was both Celia and Samuel. They seem to appear on the scene with no past and I am wondering if that is their real names and if they were on an indian census prior to that or did they appear "white" enough and were not with a tribe in sc.

My number is 470-865-8406. I have that same pic of Elbert here in a frame :) thanks for the information..maybe we can figure this out together!!

RE: Polly Cox not sure what distant relation that makes us..ha ha. My grandmother for sure looks to be indian as father, sister and son have also picked up the family traits.

I am sorry but I do not have a picture of Levi. She used to visit Elbert when my grandmother was young, I need to see what she might can remember. The indian part was not discussed much, very hush hush considering the time period. I'm not sure if we can locate Celia Ann or Samuel on an indian census. The tribe of indian is what my grandmother wanted to know.

I live in Atlanta Georgia and there is a library here that is supposed to contain several resources but I haven't made it there yet. I was hoping to get some more details on Pollies family first.

My grandmother says there was three sons from Isaac and Pollie... Elijah ,Alex and Elbert. I have info on Elige and Elbert but can't find Alex. Evidently a descendant of his used to live near my grandmothers sister in Florida and he knew some family history but I don't know who he is.

I dont know if I have any info that you dont but I'm willing to answer questions or share info.

thanks, Michele

Carters / Cox family

I am a descendant of the Cox/Carter/Westberry family. My great- grandfather was Elbert Carter the son of Isaac and Pollie Cox Carter.

I believe I saw somewhere you are related to Levi Cox Carter Nobles....she was Elberts half sister (sharing Pollie as mother) best I can tell from geneology.

I can't seem to find any additional information about Samuel D. Cox and Celia Ann Cox who were Pollie's parents. Do you know of any resources I can use? Also, my grandmother insists her father was part indian ..we think possibly Creek..have you heard of or found any conformation of Carter / Cox family with indian roots?

Greenlawn (Lakeland)
Wasn't sure if you were aware that Lakeland City Cem is listed also so I asked Find A Grave to merge the two cemeteries as AKA. I'm going through Greenlawn to see what you have listed and will delete what I have if same memorials at lakeland City Cemetery. When the two merge we shouldn't have duplicated each others, hopefully. Cat
