Copyright Disclaimer: Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, research, and scholarship. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use. Obituaries, photos, and excerpts from larger works in the context of genealogy and historical research would be considered non-infringing, as noted above.
Therefore: You have my permission to use any grave marker/monument photos (only those photos) which I have taken. I don't understand the purpose of taking photos of stones/memorials, then posting those photos to a website that promotes such photo taking and expect others not to use those photos. Seriously. . .SERIOUSLY. . . what exactly is the purpose??? Why post the photos??? Findagrave is such a wonderful research tool, & to restrict others from the benefits of my hobby seems utterly ridiculous. That said: CREDIT ATTRIBUTION ON ALL PHOTOS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. This request not only pertains to me, but to all findagrave contributors who take their time to walk, transcribe, & photograph stones/memorials.
If you are a direct descendant or immediate family member of any of my memorials, I will be glad to transfer them to you, unless they are also a direct descendant of mine as well. Please follow transfer guidelines posted on findagrave.

|Laurel Dahlberg||Thank you!|
Thank you for taking the time to enter my grandmother, Melba Irene Hameister, to the Find-a-Grave system. I am realizing now that my other Hameister relatives are not on here. I think I took some pictures of their graves when I was there, so I will try to figure out how to enter them on there myself. Thanks for inspiring me to try something new! (Feel free to give my any tips you might have...)

|Michael Barksdale||Henry M. Truman|
My inquiry is about Henry M. Truman #31686531. You have a great photo of his headstone, but there appears to be a lot of writing on the headstone that I cannot read. I am wondering if it says that he was a veteran of the 5th Indiana Cavalry and was a prisoner of war at the infamous Andersonville, GA., prison. The flags on the headstone make me think it might be.
If so, I have his original Civil War discharge and would like to add a photo of the document to his memorial if you agree.
Please let me know if this information about his war service is on the headstone. Thank you for creating this memorial and maintaining it.
All the Best, I appreciate your time and efforts.....Mike Barksdale.
|Jack Morrison||RE: Photo Confusion|
I realize it is not your fault. I have encountered 3 of this type of photo mix up. One photo on correct page, and one photo on another random page.
What REALLY worries me about this one, is that I see a spouse name of Leo Wacker on Clarence Bowman's page, and vice versa.
I hope the Find A Grave community doesn't find many of these but I won't hold my breath.
Thank you for your prompt action.
|Jack Morrison||Photo Confusion|
I understand that there have been photo mixups on the Find A Grave website recently and this may be one.
If you would please look at the photo of marker for Fitzpatrick on page http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=131640924 which has name Shultz but is really for Leo F Wacker.
I sent a request to owner of page to get names straightened out on this page.

Happy to be of service.
Thanks so much for the transfer of Anna Aurelia SMIDA Miller to me. I appreciate your kindness. I have added and connected as I could.

|Steven Kleist||Mielke From Sibley County|
My great great grand-father was Gottlieb Mielke from Arlington, Minnesota. I have yet to tie him to any of the other Mielke's in the area. I have a hard time believing that he is not connected to some of the Mielke's in the area, but those far no clues. May be you have some clues that may help.
His first wife was Anna Nimtz. And his second wife is a little vague. At this point, she is listed as the former Mrs. Sellie from the New Auburn area.
Gottlieb died in 1919 and is buried in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Arlington, Sibley County, Minnesota, USA.
If you have any clues that would be great.

You are very welcome

I am not nearly as fluent in Czech as I would like to be, but I'd be happy to help if I can.
